Chapter 46
The Plan

As I woke up, I immediately prepared myself. Nag impake ako agad matapos kong mag-ayos at umalis na. On my way to the parking lot, I called my driver and told him that we're leaving.
Malapit na ako sa parking lot nang patakbong mauna sa akin ang driver. He know all too well that I hate waiting. Pinagbuksan niya ako ng pinto at sumakay naman ako.
As he started driving, I took my phone and called my secretary. While the phone's ringing, I checked the time on my wristwatch.
5:11AM
"Good morning, miss."
"I'm on my way back to Makati. Ikaw na'ng bahala diyan. See you at the company."
"Sige po."
*call ended*
Hmm. It's 5:11AM. So I'll be arriving by 3PM?
Oh sh*t. I'm starving.
"Dumaan ka muna sa nearest restaurant," I told the driver.
He nodded as a response.
Ilang oras na ang lumipas, hindi pa din ako nakakakain. Puro sarado pa kasi.
Later on...
"I said restaurant! Bakit dito mo ko dinala?!"
Duh! As if namang nakain ako sa mga fast food chains! Nakakainis naman tong driver na to! Patanga tanga!
"Hindi po ba restaurant ang Jollibee, miss?"
*facepalm*
I tried to calm myself. Okay. Maaga pa para mainis. Kalma lang, Scarlet.
"S-sorry po. Hahanap na lang po ako ng iba."
"No. This will do." Gutom na talaga ako.
"Si-sige po. Drive thru po tayo?"
"Yeah. Sure."
And so we did.
"Good morning, ma'am. Welcome to Jollibee. May I take your order?"
Kinulbit ko ang driver. "Anong masarap dito?"
"Ay, miss. Masarap po ang spaghetti nila dito. Pero may pancake din po sila."
Oh. Hinarap ko yung speaker.
"I would like the pancake and any drinks will do."
"Yun lang po ba?"
"May narinig ka bang sinabi ko pa?"
She said sorry then repeated what I order. I confirmed it and well, you know the rest.
Pinatigil ko muna yung kotse. And hirap kasing kumain ng naandar eh. Hindi ko naman alam na ganun pala yung drive thru.
After kong kumain, pinadaan ko naman sa starbucks. Binigay ko kasi yung drink dito sa driver ko. I ordered caffè misto, venti size.
Oh how I love the aroma of the coffee.

[At home]
I lazily answered my phone when I heard it ringing.
"Miss, nasa office na po ako."
