Authors POV

"Merle! Merle! Get your ugly ass out here! I got us some squirrel! Let's stew 'em up." Daryl yelled for his brother.

"Daryl, just slow up a bit. I need to talk to you." Shane said catching up to everyone. "About what?" "About Merle. There was a… There was a problem in Atlanta." Daryl turns to you and looks back at Shane.

"He dead?" "We're not sure."

"He either is or he ain't!" Daryl yelled getting more frustrated.

"No easy way to say this, so I'll just say it." Daryl looks at you and signs 'whos this' before y/n could answer Rick butt in.

"Rick grimes." "Rick grimes, you got something you want to tell me?"

Dale comes up behind y/n so he could sign the conversation.

"Your brother was a danger to us all, so I handcuffed him on a roof, hooked him to a piece of metal. He's still there." Rick telling Daryl.

"Hold on. Let me process this. You're saying you handcuffed my brother to a roof and you left him there?!" Daryl yelled back. Y/n went up to Daryl and placed her hand on his shoulder.

He smacked her hand away and brought out his knife.

Y/n POV

I was scared when he smacked my hand away. Then when I saw him bring out his knife.. I froze where I was until I felt a pair of hands grab me and pull me away. I knew is was Dale when he got Infront of me.

He signed if I was okay and I shook my head yes.

I saw Daryl get put in a choke hold by Shane. After a bit Shane releases Daryl and stomp off.

Authors POV

Daryl looks back at y/n seeing her hold the hand he smacked. He felt bad for hitting her. He never EVER wanted to hurt her.. why, cause he started to develop feelings for her ever since he and Merle found her.

He still has no idea why or how he developed feelings for her.

"What I did was not on a whim. Your brother does not work and play well with others." "It's not Rick's fault. I had the key. I dropped it."

"You couldn't pick it up?" Daryl said with anger. "Well, I dropped it in a drain." T-Dog said.

"If it's supposed to make me feel better, it don't." Daryl said picking up his knife.

"Well, maybe this will. Look, I chained the door to the roof… So the geeks couldn't get at him… With a padlock. It's gotta count for something." T-Dog saying hopefully to get through to Daryl.

"Hell with all y'all! Just tell me where he is so that I can go get him." Daryl getting his crossbow.

Y/n signs to Dale 'i should go' 'no you dont' Dale signs back surprised. 'it wasn't your fault' 'i know but still, Merle is the only family he has' Dale knew how y/n's family was when she told her about them. The yelling, hitting, slashing, and others things she told him of her past.

Of course Lori was not happy about this, so she walked into the r.v., y/n going inside to talk to her.

Lori turned to see y/n, "Hey y/n" y/n nods. Y/n waves her hand Infront of Lori to talk to her. 'You don't have to be upset' Lori understanding a little just looks down. "I know, but I just got my husband back and I don't want him going out there." Y/n knew she wasn't really going anywhere with her. Y/n has caught her and Shane together but doesn't want to say anything since it's not her business.
