You were looking down at the baby who was still crying. "It's a girl" you muttered under your breath.
Daryl pulls away hands on your shoulders "What" you looked up at him "It's a girl" you said but whispered that time. He goes over to Rick who looked like he was in a daze, Daryl snaps his fingers to get him back into reality.
"Rick, you with me?"
"Rick?"
Carl comes up to you and takes the baby from you. You walk away but just about a couple steps you fall to your knees holding yourself up with your blood stained, shaky arms.
"We got anything a baby can eat?"
"The good news is she looks healthy. But she needs formula. And soon, or she won't survive."
"No. No way. Not her. We ain't losing nobody else. I'm going for a run y-" Daryl was cut off by you screaming.
Everything was now being processed in your mind hearing Lori screams, you opening her up, and the smell of blood.
"Ahhhh!" You then threw up holding your stomach with one hand and the other holding you up.
Daryl runs over to you "Hey hey let it out it's okay" he rubs your back soothing you to calm down.
"I'll back you up. Y/n is no condition to go"
Daryl stands up seeing Beth come over to you.
Rosco comes over to you licking your arm whining. You stand up stumbling a little and see Rick disappear with an axe into the prison where you, Maggie and Carl walked out of.
"Get the gate. Come on, we're gonna lose the light." Daryl yells out to Maggie.
"Is there any place that hasn't been completely looted?"
"We saw signs for a shopping center just north of here."
"Yeah, but there's too much debris on the road. The car will never get through there."
"can take one of you." Daryl hops on his bike getting ready to go, Maggie hops on behind him.
"Hey Glenn"
"Yeah Daryl"
"Watch over y/n for me kay. Make sure she alright"
"Yeah will do"
Daryl and Maggie now head off to where Glenn said where the shopping center was.
Glenn goes back to the others seeing you stand holding onto Beth. "Hey y/n do you wanna sit down."
"N-no I'm fine just had to process everything. Imma get the baby cleaned up."
"Okay just be careful." Glenn goes to get a shovel and starts digging graves. You took the baby from Carl going inside to clean her up. You go over to the showers to wet a rag and you start cleaning the baby.
After the baby was cleaned you went to get a clean blanket to cover the baby, then you remembered that you got baby clothes when you went on a run. You put the baby in a small white with pink and purple dots onesie, white socks and a small pink hat to keep her warm.
"You are a beautiful baby. We'll be here for you." You placed a kiss on her head gently rocking her to sleep. Everyone was inside the prison watching you hold the baby. Daryl and Maggie haven't came back yet and Glenn, Axel, and Oscar were still outside. Now that you think about it you looked among the others not seeing Carol. 'Oh please let her be okay' you thought to yourself.
Rosco comes up sniffing the baby, sneezing, going back to sniffing her and licks her tiny baby hand.
Carl comes over sitting next to you at the table. He leans on the left side of your shoulder getting a good look at the baby.
