y/n was born deaf. Having parents who were awful wasn't gonna bring her down. Over the years since she moved out of the house and had her own place to call home in Georgia. Now the apocalypse has started, she has to navigate her way through survival...
Daryl was the first one to wake up and as soon as he woke up y/n was on top of him. Head on his chest and legs tangled together, he couldn't believe it and almost started to panic but didn't want to wake up y/n. He gently moves her to not wake her up. Finally getting y/n off of him and laying her on her side.
Since she was wearing a tang top and cut sweat pants he could see the scars and tattoos more clearly on her back.

He reached his hand but stopped 'what the fuck am I doin'. He brought his hand back and left the tent.
Daryl got his crossbow and went over to where Rick was. "We've got a lot of ground to cover. All right, everyone's getting new search grids today."
"If she made it as far as the farmhouse Daryl and y/n found, she might have gone further east than we've been so far."
While Rick and Jimmy who's Beth's boyfriend were talking y/n walked out of the tent with new clothes on.
Same black combat boots, ripped bark blue jeans, a black shirt, and her hair in two braids. Y/n walked over to them.
"Nothing about what Daryl and y/n found screams Sophia to me." Shane butts in.
"Anyone could have been holed up in that farmhouse."
"Anybody includes her, right?"
"Whoever slept in that cupboard was no bigger than yay-high." Daryl said having his hand semi above his waist close to Sofia's height.
"I'm gonna borrow a horse, head up to this ridge right here, take a bird's-eye view of the whole grid. If she's up there, I'll spot her."
"I'll go w-with you." Y/n said to Daryl. "Nah I'll go on ma own, you should do the same." All y/n did was nod and sign to him to be careful.
"Maybe you'll see your chupacabra up there too." T-Dog said while walking towards them.
"Chupacabra?"
"You never heard this? Our first night in camp, Daryl tells us that the whole thing reminds him of a time when he went squirrel hunting and he saw a chupacabra." Rick stuffs a laugh, but jimmy laughs.
"What are you braying at, jackass?" Daryl snapped back at Jimmy.
"You believe in a blood-sucking dog?"
"Do you believe dead people walking around?"
~Back over to y/n~
Y/n went up to Maggie "Where's your dad?" "He's outside gettin water, why."
Y/n looks out the window then back to Maggie "Can I b-borrow a horse." "Sure, just ask my dad okay." Maggie gives y/n a smile and y/n signs back 'thank you'.
Y/n finds Hershal and asks him if she could borrow a horse which he says yes to. Secretly Hershal has grown fond of y/n and her dog Rosco but was still weary.
