8.Gun shot

As soon as y/n steps out the church with everyone else she sits down on the ground give her foot a little rest.

Carl comes up to her and sits across from her giving her a smile. Y/n smiles back and pats his head.

"Hehe" Carl laughs a bit.

Carl points at himself, then to his head, points at y/n, makes a scared face and finger spells S-O-F-I-A. Meaning 'I know you are scared for Sofia'. Y/n looks down smiling and looks back up at Carl and signs 'yes I am'. Rick sees the interaction of his son and y/n, he smiles thinking that y/n really cared for the kids because of how protective she was when they had their first walker encounter and how she points at the kids for Rosco to watch them.

"Alright so we splitting up, is that it?" Shane asks Rick. "Yeah we are."

"I want to go with you." Carl asks his dad.

"Just be careful, okay?" His mom said after Rick agreed since it's him and Shane.

"I will."

Y/n gets up and was about to go with Rick. "Not you y/n." 'why not' y/n signed slapping her hands down on her thighs. "Your slowing us down and your ankle is going to only get worse." Y/n looked down then back up "Fine" is all she said and started walking/limping back to the highway.

"So this is it? This the whole plan?" Carol said

"I guess the plan is to whittle us down into smaller and smaller groups." Daryl said leading the group back.

"Carrying knives and pointy sticks. I see you have a gun." Andrea said looking at Lori. "Why, you want it? Here, take it. I'm sick of the looks you're giving me." Lori snapped back and gave the gun to Andrea. Y/n just rolls her eyes at Andrea wanting to smack her across the face.

"All of you. Honey, I can't imagine what you're going through. And I would do anything to stop it. But you have got to stop blaming Rick and y/n. It is in your face every time you look at him and when you also look at y/n. When Sophia ran they didn't hesitate, did they? Not for a second. I don't know that any of us would have gone after her the way they did or made the hard decisions that he or she had to make or that anybody could have done it any differently. Anybody? Y'all look to him and then you blame him when he's not perfect or when y/n needs help understand what we are saying. If you think you can do this without them go right ahead, no one's stoping you." Lori snapped at everyone.

"We should keep moving." Andrea says.

Back with Shane, Rick and Carl

As the three boys are walking more into the woods Rick asks carl a question.

"When did you learn sign Carl?"

"When y/n first arrived to camp before you did. She played with us and her dog too. Me and Sofia got her a notepad so we could write what we were saying but we saw Dale and her use their hands to talk so I wanted to learn. It's pretty cool dad."

"Thats good." Rick said smiling at Carl

Shane just looks at them and agrees with Rick. Then they stop to see a deer standing there not moving.

Carl slowly goes up to get a closer look and all of them are amazed.

Then all of a sudden a shot was heard.

The deer and Carl both went down, Rick and Shane with shocked faces.

Y/n taps Daryl shoulder 'was that a gunshot' "yeah, it was." Y/n just nods and keeps walking.
