The group are now driving down the road to Fort Benning hoping to find refuge there. Y/n was looking down at her knuckles to see them split open, and bruised. Rosco was in between her legs in Daryl's truck licking her hands.

Daryl kept thinking a way how to apologize for screaming at her and getting mad. He didn't mean it he was caught off guard that y/n would try to go after Jenner like that. Hell he was also thinking the same thing. He noticed that y/n had pulled out her hearing aids since she hasn't put them on yet.

Jenner had made a frequency that allows y/n to hear more clearly and of course she was very excited to put them on. As y/n was looking down at her hearing aids she decided to put them on and give them a test run.

She puts her hearing aids on and closes her eyes.

'vrrrrrrrrrrrrr' y/n opened her eyes to hear the sound of the truck, and the panting of Rosco Infront of her.

Daryl looked over to see her smiling and having tears in her eyes. "You aight?" Y/n looks over at Daryl as soon as he said that and smiled at him. "Y-yeah" she then started laughing and wiping away her tears.

Daryl felt a pang in his heart seeing y/n smile and laugh and he felt really happy knowing he had done something good.

The cars now have pulled over to get some gas from broken down cars and started to downsize to save more gas.

Daryl and y/n get out the truck and head over to Rick and Shane.

"Hey we're gonna need to downsize on vehicle's now." "I know"

Dale comes over, "I have more room in the camper." "Yeah I think I'll ride with you." Shane said back.

Y/n goes up to Dale, "I am g-going w-with Daryl". She said to him. Dale looks at Daryl and nods. "Yeah she can ride with me, let's go y/n" "okay" y/n happily smiles. Dale looked back and motioned for Rosco to get in the camper an Rosco did so.

Daryl's stomach was doing flips and turns and red faced knowing that y/n was going to be so close to him.

He got on his bike and waited for y/n to sit and when she did she was also red faced because she was going to hold onto Daryl.

Now that everyone is situated they all start back in the road again.

Daryl leading the way behind him is Dale in the r.v. and Rick right behind him.

"Yes Glenn"

"Ummm.. ya know let me just get straight to the point."

"Okay?"

"Was y/n born deaf or did something happen?"

Dale looked Infront of him to see y/n looking up at the sky and thinking that she probably smiling.

"Yes Glenn, she was born deaf."

"Oh.. okay, and I'm sorry for asking but.-"

"Is it about her scars on her back." Dale cut him off. Glenn looks back to see Shane and Andrea cleaning guns making sure they weren't listening.

"Yeah it is." Looking down and then back up. "Alright but don't say anything to her alright." "Okay." "When me and her would keep watch back at the quarry I had asked her about her family and I saw her flinch and look down. I knew that it was probably something she wasn't expecting, but she told me anyway."

"What did she say." Before Dale could say anything the R.V started smoking and made a halt and also seeing a traffic jam infront of them.

Y/n looks back to see the others have stopped. She taps Daryl and points behind her. Daryl sees and makes a turn around toward the group.
