"Alright, Michael." Calum said, sitting down at the table across from his friend. "We need to talk."
"About what?" Michael asked. His mouth was full of cereal, as it usually was, and he was staring at his laptop, which he had brought out to the kitchen with him in attempt to socialize and do his work at the same time.
"Lily Hemmings."
"I feel like she's all we talk about anymore." Michael said, letting out a big sigh. He set his bowl of cereal down next to him and opened up a new tab on his laptop. "Where's Ashton?"
"Out? I don't know, and I don't really care either." Calum said bitterly. The two boys had gotten in a fight the night before, Michael overheard them, and now it didn't seem like Calum and Ashton were on speaking terms.
"Okay..." Michael trailed off.
"Anyway, Michael, I wanted to talk about Lily Hemmings." Calum said, getting back to the point.
Michael was still staring straight ahead at his laptop, his eyebrows furrowed together in frustration.
"Wait." Michael cut Calum off before he had time to say anything. He turned the laptop around and showed Calum what was on the homepage of his old MacBook.
DOES LILY HEMMINGS HAVE YET ANOTHER NEW BOYFRIEND?
"Oh my God, there's a whole article about you." Calum chuckled, pulling the laptop closer to him. He began to read out loud. "Lily Hemmings has been seen out and about - "
"Stop." Michael shook his head, grabbing the laptop away from Calum and stopping him from reading any more. "You can look up this article yourself on your own time, I hate reading about myself."
"Really? But most of the time people say really good things about you. I would enjoy having people say really good things about me." Calum shrugged innocently.
"I just don't like it." Michael bit his lip. He quickly typed in the website that he'd meant to go to in the first place, escaping from the article written about him and his maybe girlfriend.
"Okay, fine." Calum let out a defeated sigh. "It's actually perfect that the article popped up like that, though, because I wanted to talk to you about Lily."
"I know." Michael nodded.
"So, like, what's the story with you two?" Calum asked, suddenly very interested in Michael's relationship status.
After Michael got home from his first date with Lily, which was a whole three weeks before, Calum had requested not to know any details. Michael accepted that and didn't say anything about his date, and hadn't said anything since.
"I don't know." Michael shrugged, his eyes focused on the screen of his MacBook again. "We're seeing each other."
"Yeah, but like, has she just used you for sex yet? Or do you actually like her? Have you met her parents yet? Have you met her brother?" Calum fired off his list of questions, obviously having bottled them up for far too long.
"No. Yes. No. Yes." Michael said, answering all of Calum's questions as simply as he could.
"I need the details, Michael!" Calum yelled, letting out another frustrated groan.
"No, she has not used me for sex yet and I don't think she is planning to. We've kissed a few times. Yes, I actually really like her, she's a very fun person to be around and I enjoy her company." Michael sighed, trying to give Calum as much detail as possible without giving away too much detail. "No, I have yet to meet her parents, they're both really busy and she doesn't even see them that often. Yes, I've met her brother a few times but we haven't gotten to talk for very long, it's usually just when I'm picking up or dropping off Lily."
