Lily slammed the front door closed behind her when she reached her apartment, ignoring the fact that Michael was walking right behind her and attempting to explain himself.

After reading Michael's book and finding out what he had been doing behind her back for the last few months Lily hid away in the bathroom for hours and tried not to break down into tears.

Yes, she had been doing almost the same thing, but Lily's blog was different. Michael was writing in his book about how desperate and crazy Lily acted and how easily he was able to sleep with her and then published it for the whole world to see, while Lily was writing and anonymous blog online about how much she loved and cared about Michael.

No one knew that it was her writing about him and no one ever had to know, whereas everyone was going to know that Michael had written about Lily and acted as if their whole relationship was a game.

The rest of the night was awkward, because Lily and Michael weren't speaking to each other (or at least Lily wasn't speaking to Michael, he tried to talk to her every chance he got), and since it was already too late for them to start driving home they had to spend the night at Michael's parent's house in the same bed.

Lily decided that she was more disappointed than anything. She'd been screwed over by a lot of guys in the past. She knew that most of the time boys would only get in a relationship with her so they could have sex with her, and Lily thought that Michael was different. She never thought that he'd turn out to be even worse than all of the guys she'd dated previously.

She was just really sad that he'd let her down like that. Lily loved Michael so much, she thought that he was going to be it for her, he was the one, and then he had to go and do something like this and ruin it all.

The next morning Lily finally started crying and told Michael that she really needed him him to take her home and that was it. Of course he felt bad and agreed and made up some excuse to his parents about Lily needing to get home right away because of a family emergency, and the Cliffords completely understood.

Lily felt bad because she loved Mrs. Clifford and knew about how excited she'd been for Michael to be there, but she just couldn't do it. Lily needed some time away from Michael.

"Babe, come on." Lily heard Michael sigh from outside of the apartment. She dropped her bag down on the floor before walking over to the door again and opening it for Michael. "You just have to let me explain."

Lily glared at Michael and folded her arms across her chest. She didn't want him to explain, she didn't think that there was any way for him to fix this. Whatever Michael had to say, Lily didn't want to hear it.

"Lily, sweetheart, I'm so sorry." Michael said quietly, rocking back and forth on his heels. She hated how innocent he looked, like he hadn't done anything to hurt her.

"Don't call me that." Lily snapped, finally speaking to him again. "I really don't know how you expect to fix this, Michael, you've already done too much."

"I just want you to let me explain." Michael said, stepping forward a little. His eyes widened when he heard o talk, she hadn't said anything to him since she told him that she needed to go home.

"Explain what?" Lily asked, raising her eyebrows. "You wrote this awful book where you talk about girls as if they're prizes in some big game of sleeping around, and then you made me look like your crazy, desperate girlfriend that you only like because I have sex with you, and you expect me not to be mad about it? What else is there to explain?"
