"LILY HEMMINGS IS OFFICIALLY IN A RELATIONSHIP WITH NEW YORK TIMES BEST SELLING AUTHOR MICHAEL CLIFFORD. THE PAIR WAS LAST SEEN TOGETHER AT A STARBUCKS IN NEW YORK CITY, HOLDING HANDS AND SHARING KISSES -"
"Luke, stop it." Lily scolded him, slapping Luke on the shoulder. It was a month later and Lily, Michael, and Luke were all in the back of their car. Lily had been dragging both boys with her all over the city while she shopped for new clothes.
Michael was not enjoying himself, Lily could tell, but it wasn't like she could do anything to change that. She wanted to go shopping and Michael wanted to spend time with her, so this was a perfect way for them to do both.
"I saw a picture of you two on Twitter yesterday." Luke said, laughing as he looked down at his phone. "At first I didn't realize that it was you, Lil, it took me a minute and then I was like 'hey, that's my little sister'."
"What was the picture of?" Michael asked quietly. Sometimes Lily felt bad for her boyfriend, he still wasn't used to having so many people focused on him and his relationships and just all of this, really.
"You guys were kissing outside of a Starbucks, I think." Luke shrugged casually, not at all phased by the pictures his little sister kissing someone.
Lily thought that it was funny that Michael got so worried about Luke being protective over her. He really wasn't. If Lily was in trouble Luke would help her out, of course, but other than that he was pretty calm when it came to Lily having boyfriends.
"Oh." Michael nodded. Lily reached over and squeezed his hand, giving Michael a big smile.
"Where are we going now, Lil?" Luke asked, finally setting his phone down.
"Well I don't know about you two, but I'm starving." Lily said, moving closer to Michael. "I think I need some spaghetti."
"I think we can arrange that." Luke laughed, running his fingers through his hair. "Does that sound good to you, Michael?"
"What?" Michael looked away from the window and turned towards Luke, seeming a bit startled. "Oh, yeah, spaghetti sounds good."
Luke leaned forward and told their driver where their next stop was, leaving Michael and Lily alone for a moment.
"Are you okay?" Lily asked, leaning over so her head was resting on Michael's shoulder.
"Yeah, I'm fine." Michael turned towards Lily and smiled, kissing her on the forehead. "I got in a fight with one of my roommates again this morning."
"Really? Another?" Lily questioned, looking up at Michael. He was always talking about fighting with his roommates but Lily could never tell if they were serious fights or just small arguments. She wanted to officially meet the two guys Michael lived with, but he didn't want her to.
"I mean, it wasn't a bad fight, but he's just so annoying and it stresses me out." Michael chuckled. The car started moving again and Luke turned back around in his seat. He took out his phone again, this time holding it up as if he was taking a picture.
"What are you doing?" Lily groaned, burying her face in Michael's chest.
"I'm just instagraming." Luke shrugged and began typing away on his phone.
"Luke, stop it." Lily whined. She moved closer to Michael and he wrapped his arms around her, like he was protecting Lily from Luke and his constant need to keep his followers updated on what he was doing every second of the day.
"Michael, what's your Instagram?" Luke asked, glancing up for a second. "I don't think I follow you."
"It's michaelgclifford." Michael said, slowly rubbing Lily's back as she continued to hide in his chest. Lily laughed softly, playing around with the hem of Michael's jean jacket. Lily was learning to get used to it.
