"I'm bored." Lily let out a big sigh as she flipped through her magazine. She was laying on her bed, taking up most of the space so Michael was forced to sit on the floor.
"Bored with what?" Michael questioned. He was staring intently down at his laptop and typing, not paying much attention to what Lily was saying. Lily would make little comments about things in her magazine but Michael didn't seem like he cared at all.
"I don't know, I'm just bored." Lily shrugged. "I want to go to the beach."
"It's January, it's a little cold for the beach." Michael chuckled, not even looking up from his computer screen.
Lily groaned loudly and rolled over so she was now laying on her back. "Well then let's go somewhere warm."
"Like where?" Michael asked. He still seem bored and uninterested with Lily, and that made her feel even worse.
"Michael, please." Lily sighed.
"Please what?" Michael looked up at her, raising an eyebrow. Lily wondered why he was even there anymore, he clearly was annoyed with her. Shed rather have Michael go home than have him sit there and act like this.
"Please pay attention to me." Lily whined. She tilted her head back to look at Michael, only to see that he was still staring at his laptop screen instead of her.
"I am paying attention to you." Michael sighed, looking down again. "I'm sitting here and having a conversation with you, babe, I'm paying attention."
"I want to go to a beach." Lily repeated herself, hoping that maybe Michael would actually act interested this time.
"We just got back from Paris, do you really want to take another vacation?" Michael asked in a bored tone. Lily thought that maybe he would be up for the idea, but apparently she was wrong.
"I want to go to a beach." Lily groaned; Michael just wasn't getting it. "I bought all of those swimsuits at that cute store in Paris and now I have nowhere to wear them too."
"You can just wait for summer." Michael suggested.
"I don't want to wait." Lily frowned, rolling over again and sitting up on her bed. She folded her arms over her chest, glaring down at Michael. "I want to go to a beach."
"Then go to a beach, Lily, geez." Michael rolled his eyes. He was still looking down at his laptop, so Lily grabbed one of the pillows on her bed and threw it at him.
"I want to go to a beach with you." Lily snapped. "Can I borrow your laptop for a second?"
"I don't do beaches." Michael chuckled, ignoring Lily's question.
"Can I borrow your laptop?" Lily repeated, getting more aggravated now. "I want to look up cool beaches."
"Why do you need my laptop? Use your phone or something, I'm in the middle of doing something." Michael scoffed, shaking his head.
"I'll just get Luke to go to a beach with me. He loves plane rides." Lily got up from her bed, changing the subject. She knew that Michael would want to go with her now that a Lily mentioned bringing Luke along instead.
"What do you want me to look up, babe?" Michael sighed, finally giving in. Lily smiled, pleased with herself. "Cool beaches?"
"Give me your computer, I'll do it myself." Lily said, holding her hands out.
"No, just tell me what you want me to look up." Michael insisted, holding his laptop close to his chest. Lily didn't understand why this was such a big deal, it would not kill Michael to let her borrow his laptop for a few minutes.
