"Okay, Michael, it's time." Lily said as she stood before him, her hands on her hips.
"Time for what?" Michael groaned. He had his face buried in a pillow on Lily's bed. She was wide awake and already dressed, while Michael was still half asleep from spending the night at her apartment.
"We have to go shopping!" Lily said excitedly. She jumped onto the bed and straddled Michael's back, trying to annoy him enough so he got up. It'd been almost 3 months with him now and Lily still didn't understand how Michael was able to sleep so late every morning.
"What do you need to buy?" Michael asked. He rolled over, keeping Lily on top of him.
"What do you need to buy? That's the real question here." Lily laughed. She ran her hands over his bare chest, trying to hold back from teasing him again about how pale he was.
"Lily, I don't need any new clothes." Michael sighed, shaking his head.
"Yes you do." Lily insisted. "Your shoes have holes in them and all of your shirts have this weird smell that won't go away because they're so old."
"Not all of my shirts - "
"Yes, Michael, all of your shirts. I looked through your closet." Lily said, cutting him off.
"Oh." Michael nodded slowly. He thought about it for a moment, and then shook his head again. "Can't we just stay in today?"
"I really want to go shopping." Lily pouted. Since she didn't have a job or go to school or anything boring like that, Lily always had to find something to do on her own or with Luke, and shopping was always the perfect solution.
"But you go shopping every day." Michael pouted back.
"What do you think we should do?" Lily asked, continuing to trace patterns on Michael's chest.
"I think we should stay here and make breakfast together because I know you have the stuff to make pancakes or waffles or whatever and then we should watch s movie or something." Michael suggested. Lily scrunched her nose up at the idea, that was way they did two days ago.
"I want to go shopping." Lily whined.
"I'm sick of just following you around and carrying your bags while you shop, Lily. It might be fun for you but it's not really that enjoyable for me." Michael sighed, sitting up. Lily frowned again and climbed off of his lap, going off to the other side of the bed.
"But we'll be shopping for you today, it'll be fun!" Lily assured him. She loved shopping and she liked Michael a lot too, so spending time with him and shopping was always a perfect combination for Lily. Finding out that he really didn't like it kind of hurt her feelings.
"I don't need to go shopping, though, that's the thing." Michael said, sighing again.
"But-But your shoes have holes in them and all of your shirts smell weird - "
"Maybe I like it like that." Michael shrugged, this time being the one to interrupt Lily.
"You like smelling weird?" She questioned, raising an eyebrow at him.
"I, myself, do not smell weird. It's my shirts." Michael chuckled. He got out of bed, standing up and searching around on the floor for the shirt he'd taken off last night. "If you want to go shopping then that's fine, babe, I'll totally go shopping with you, I just don't really need to go shopping for me."
"Okay." Lily pouted, folding her arms across her chest. Her pout quickly turned into a scowl and she looked up at Michael, who was in the process of getting dressed.
