POV Ciara
we moved through the night, Andrew had taken the injury with pride not letting it slow, but we had to stop, some of us need food after all, undead or not, I'm hungry. Charlie set a pile of wood I gathered alight with his sonic screwdriver, Meeps and her brother, not sure how that worked. but I also wasn't going to ask. Were sat talking, Meeps seemed to be catching him up.
I have seen enough to believe charlie when he said, they had come from a parallel universe. Charlie, his self was on the other side of the fire to me while I cooked, the radio had stopped working.
"Damn it all to hell," Charlie mumbled while working on the radio. "Why are you being so difficult?" he added.
"I can have a look, I'm good with this stuff," Andrew said.
the last thing he should have said, I turned the pork chops I was cooking, as Charlie shot Andrew a look. "If I can't fix it, you most certainly can't," Charlie answered going back to work on the radio.
Andrew looked unamused, "Well that's a bit Egositcal, is he normally like that?" Andrew asked to Meeps.
she shrugged, "I've only known him like day, and didn't like him most of that day," Meeps answered.
I laughed slightly, "Most people don't like Charlie when there first met him," I answered, I took off my food and turned to the siblings, "and it depends, Charlie Ego problem gets worse, when he worries, a rip in the sky, A revived Herobrine, and people falling from another universe? yeah he's ego is going to get bigger," I moved closer to two so I could whisper.
"Charlie also fears being made redundant, if he finds someone who's better than him, Charlie's scared Patrick will replace him, what's stupid because Patrick likes him," I added.
Andrew looked at Charlie as he clicked the backplate onto the radio. "how good is he with technology?" he asked.
"I don't know anyone better,"
something snapped in the trees near us, and we all turned to the trees, and a rabbit hopped out, looked at us and hopped away. "I'm getting too jumpy," Charlie said, the fire started to go out as we got ready to go. "The problem with the radio is an outside effect, I've cleared this one up, but..." he paused, likely for dramatic effect.
"But the receiving end isn't so we can't contact them anyway?" Andrew said. Charlie nodded.
I looked at Meeps, "So your brother, he's good with Tech himself?" I asked.
she nodded at me, "Yep," she answered, "What about you?" I laughed.
"I leave that to Charlie and Azura, Nether even Kane...." I froze upon saying his name, I had almost forgotten.
"Ciara?" Meeps asked, Charlie stopped whatever debate he was having with Andrew and turned back to the two of us. "We were just talking and this happened," Meeps explained.
I shook myself free before he spoke and marched ahead of the others.
POV Charlie
'Ego problem, that's the word that stuck in my head the most, did I really have an Ego problem?'
I was at this time ahead of the group. Andrew was close behind me, I was as yet unsure on him, Meeps trusted him of course, but how much can I trust her? they seem good enough.
"So you're a scientist? were those Radios your inventions?" Andrew asked.
"No, I brought them back on earth, I have modified them, a lot, and I do mean a lot over the past month, but I did with a hand from Azura build these," I pointed at the psychic dampener. "what about you?" I asked. I pulled out my water bottle, always good to carry around in case you get stranded from home for a few days.
