the creature that attacked us, the Null, we kicked its ass sent it back to where it came from, admittedly it took us over a few months fighting it in this base, the whole place was the size of a small city, 1000 personal from soldiers to pilots.

price had started the lockdown when Null arrived, and now, well now we can't contact anyone outside the base, and the lockdown hasn't lifted, Price lead a strike team out, but that was months ago. nothing, no word, even emergency communications were down, we were on our own.

with Price gone Morgan became the base's commanding officer, it was the start of a new day, Hunter, my boyfriend from the overworld stuck here with us was on guard duty today, so I wasn't spending the day with him. 

I walked and walked until I reached the command centre, people were rushing about, Morgan stood over a map, talking with Phantom, "Food is running low, we're almost out of MRE, we're going to need to send out another scout group, on a supply run," Morgan said.

Phantom nodded, "I'll lead them, do some recon, keep contact the whole time, we can't risk it," The two turned to as I joined. I wasn't technically a member of the military. but thanks to my powers I was a civilian asset to them. 

"William just the human icicle I wanted, what do you think of this as a plan, Phantom here leads a scout mission to find out what's going on," Morgan said, he pushed the sunglasses up on his face. "I don't like it but we're running out of choices," 

"Why send out a team on foot? we have helicopters, and Tanks, why not use them, send out the Phantom and their squad on a helicopter," I suggested. 

the two looked at each other, "Yeah that'll work," Morgan said, "Phantom ready a team, get a pilot," Morgan ordered. Phantom nodded. "come on William, I need to think," 

we walked and talked, and wondered how Charlie was doing, had he stopped the nether? it was possible that it's been over a year since we ended our war, I hoped Charlie was okay, and on some level, I hoped Kyle was okay. and that Naeus was rotting in hell. 

"The scientists have an update, they've found an energy reading, they tracking it back, hopefully, it's away back for us," Morgan said, something sounded, as a helicopter took off. 

Morgan watched as the helicopter flow away, "What is going on? how the hell is no one answering, what is happening to the world?" Morgan asked. 

"SIR! We've got civilians at the gate," a Sargent called. we rushed over, an injured woman was supporting her self, on a middle-aged man.

"Stay back from the gate!" the guards called, "This is a restricted zone, civilians are not permitted," 

"you have to help, she was bitten and I don..." The man stopped as the limp body came to life, and attacked the man, the two guards opened fire with their fully automatic weapon, the man was pasting saving. 

Morgan once the bullets stopped, and the bodies stopped moving, teleported outside, taking the limp body of the woman, "I'm taking her to the morgue they might be able to tell what just happened, William passed on my orders, I want two more helicopters up, and a few jets, I want to know what the fuck is going on," 

A few hours later I was training my ice powers, yes they were weaker here, but I still wanted to keep them ready, something was happening to the earth, and I wanted to be ready, I stare at the target, although I didn't have a gun, others did, and they were firing, so I had a massive pair of noise-cancelling headphones on, very uncomfortable. 

I could feel the anger, Yes I missed Charlie, I missed him a lot, but I still hated him, the fact he walked that message, he always planned to leave us here, lock us away from the new friends and families we made. I unleashed a full wave of ice, not only did I take out my target but everyone else targets as well.

the other three in the shooting rang stopped, lowing their weapons and looking at me, "umm, Sorry, that was ancient, I should probably go and Chill off," I joked.

two of the soldiers rolled their eyes, the third one laughed, before walking over to an intercom, "Clean up in shooting range, Code ice, don't worry about Will, it's not a problem,"  

I felt a bit guilty, here was a base fall of some of the best trained SAS troops, and others, an international military groups dedicated to defending Earth from anything odd, or Alien, and there is me, an untrained guy with some ice powers, yeah I had the training from frostbourne.

something felt wrong with the world, these two at the gate, Price going missing, no contact with anyone, Morgan was back in the command centre, "William, new problem, We've lost contact Phantom and his team, even the pilot has gone silent, last contacted they had reached a large town, but nothing after that,"

"Morgan, what could be happening? it's like the earth has gone..." I was interpreted when a private ran into the room.

"Sir, the doctors have the results of the post mortem on the body, I was told you need to see it ASAP Sir," 

Morgan took the slip of paper. his face dropped, "You've got to be shitting me," he looked up at the private, "Is this some kind of joke?" 

"No Sir," the private said.

"Morgan, what is it?" I asked. 

"The body of the woman was brought back by some kind of unknown virus which affected the brain, causing her to attack any nearby humans," He read out to me.

"You mean?" I asked.

Morgan nodded, "Earth is undergoing a zombie apocalypse, and we have no way of fighting it," Morgan went over to a microphone, pressing a button, "acting commander Morgan, this is a ulmate code red, Overlook base is now on high alert, if anyone approaches the base, I am to be altered, and no one is permitted accuse from the outside," He said into the speaks "How the fuck does a zombie apocalypse happen?" Morgan asked. 

"the better question is, are we all that's left of the human race, or can we stop this or is Earth already lost?" I asked.
