POV Charlie

I had to check on Azura and Patrick, this most certainly wasn't a normal pregnancy, they might be a side effect to giving both thanks to temporal acceleration, I've had enough of slowly going insane, of constantly breaking down, I need to improve, maybe helping Azura will do that.

Patrick was outside of the medical room, rubbing his face, "Patrick how is she?" I asked. 

Patrick looked up, I'm not sure if he was happy to see me or angry, maybe a bit of both, "Good, the Doctors think she'll be fine, but it might take a few hours," Patrick explained. 

"Anything I can do?" I asked. 

Patrick shook his head, "Thank you for offering Charlie, but no, Azura's in good hands," Patrick seemed to calm what's never a good thing, "Can you explain what is happening to my wife?" he asked.

"Well, I assume you two done the dirty, and that got..." Patrick interrupted me.

"Not that Charlie, I understand basic biology, what I don't understand, is how when she left she was hardly a mouth pregnant now she giving birth! EXPLAIN!" Patrick said. 

"Okay, okay, sorry, the Controller was trying to...well I guess he did hatch the dragon egg...anyway he was using time bolts, temporal energy caple of ageing people by 100s of years, while confronting the Controller, Azura was hit...we lucky she's not..." Patrick smacked me around the face. 

"YOU LET HER TAKE THAT RISK! I TRUSTED YOU TO KEEP HER SAFE!" Patrick barked at me. 

I was left stunned, completely stunned, "I'm...I'm sorry, Patrick, I tried to keep her safe," I answered. 

Patrick took a few deep breaths, "I know, I know, neither of us could have stopped her if we tried, Charlie, I'm scared...I'm scared of being a dad, I...I don't know what to do....oh god I'm going to be a terrible father,"

"Poppycock, you're going to be a great father, Better than me, look at all the people here, Rain, Stella, me, we all look up to you, you are a great man, a great leader and an even better father, that child, they couldn't wish for a better father," 

Patrick just at me and rubbed his face, "How can you be sure about that?" Patrick asked.

I shrugged, "Because I know you, and I know in the end you are a great man," I placed a hand on his shoulder, "Now Patrick, I want you to be the best damn father in the overworld, any way you can't be worse be worse then Crystals," 

Patrick took a few deep breaths, "Okay, thank you, also if that baby has a time head I'm going to kill you," 

I nodded, "I understand that completely," I answered. I checked my watch, it was nearly midnight.

The Door opened and Elisabeth walked in, "Grandmaster?" she asked.

we both turned to her, "Yes?" Patrick asked his voice cracking from fear. 

"Lady Azura would like to introduce you to someone," Elisabeth said smiling. 

"I'll leave you to meet your child, I'm going to go get some airs," I said.

POV Patrick

my heart was racing, I could feel it, Azura was laying there looking tied, she was smiling looking down at something wrapped up in a white blanket, every step felt like an eternity, I reached her, standing over Azura and the child.

I stared at Azura, holding a newborn baby, "Patrick, this is your daughter," she said. I looked down.

"Oh," I mumbled I felt Azura's eyes fixed on me, I had to say something else, "She's beautiful, just like her mother"
