POV Charlie
"Ember, take this dragon for a moment," I said,
"Why me?" Ember asked looking at me somewhat confused.
"I don't know I'm not very good with animals," I answered looking down at the dragon, which was now motionless, "Patrick I think this dragon is broken," I turned back to him, and he was frozen mid-blink.
"Umm Patrick?" I asked. I looked to Ember who was looking as confused as me, I wave my hands in front of Patrick's face. "What do you think is wrong with him?"
"Not just him, look," Ember pointed to Meeps, also frozen on the spot, her arms out enough, I put the frozen Baby dragon in her armies, "We should check if others are like this," Ember said. we walked down the hull, we passed Moon, also frozen, we found Stella and Rain about to hug, "Ralla," Ember said looking at it.
I looked closer and took a £1 coin out of my pocket, I've had it on me for a while now, "Heads or tail?" I asked.
"Heads," Ember said.
I flipped the coin, as soon as it left my hand it froze mid-air, "ahha, so if we're holding it, it stays unaffected," I answered.
"no," Ember said, "If things we're holding were unaffected, then why was the baby dragon frozen, I would say that the coin was frozen, but you could still move it,"
I thought for a long moment, "You're, of course, you're right, you're not an idiot, you're actually quite smart, your up there with some of the smart people I know," I was just going off on one.
"Charlie are you okay? you're speaking weird, well weirder than normal," Ember said, he learned on Rain, and both fell to the floor, Ember jumped back up, "Whoops,"
"He'll be fine, come on let's do some more checking," I said. this time I pulled out my sonic and attempted to scan, but Ember was all to right, the sonic was frozen.
then I saw someone moving, and it would be one of the people who I don't get along with, Razer walked around Alex and Sheila in the hallway, "Well at least I'm not...oh,"
I waved my hand, "nice to see you too Razer," I said smiling.
"You wouldn't happen to know how what's happening, your always going on about how smart you are," Razer said, it felt more like an insult than a compliment.
I looked down, and took a few deep breaths, "I'm sorry okay! I get it! I'm an asshole who doesn't understand other people have emotions," I snapped. "I...I..ah," there was suddenly a burning feeling in my pocket.
"What's wrong?" Ember asked.
I dived my hand into my pocket, and pulled out the time stone, it stopped burning when I touched it, glowing a deep blue, "is it normally like that?" Razer asked.
I smacked my head, "oh it was obvious, time, someone's playing with time," I said.
"then why aren't we affected?" Ember asked.
"Many possibilities, cosmic chance, some kind of temporal energy, maybe the author couldn't be bothered to come up with a real reason," I said.
"Does this mean we have to go time travelling again?" Razer asked.
I nodded my head, "most likely, there's also no way of steering this stone, hopefully, it can feel what's wrong with the timeline," I answered.
"how do we...." Razer didn't finish that thought in a flash we were suddenly in a city in a snowy walled-off place, he sighed, "Where are we then?"
"Surely it should be when we are," Ember said.
I looked at seeing a couple of kids playing, I pulled out my spyglass, "About 15, maybe 16 years in the past," I answered.
