a hard choice

POV Crystal

I left the war room, 'might as well wait in Charlie's room,' I thought to myself, I couldn't help but notice Razer following me, he really was Nether bent on talking to me, I walked into Charlie's room, he knocked on the door, and continued to knock.

"Crystal, please open the door, I just want to talk," Razer called his voice muffled by the door. 

I stood and walked towards the door, I hesitated, my hand just off the handle, 'no I can't, but I have to, but I can't,' My mind wouldn't let me, I took a deep breath, finally placing my hand on the doorknob when I felt something stab into my neck, A needle.

 I grasped at what just stabed into me spinning, the hooded woman stood there, I felt my legs grow weak, I screamed as I fell to the floor, "Crystal?" Razer called. 

the hooded woman stared at me, "I'm sorry, but he needs to choice my Master must know, will he save you or the stranger," she said, a red portal opened and she stepped through it. 

I tried to speak the only thing coming out was a scream, "CRYSTAL!" Razer called, I could feel whatever she put in me was spreading. "Crystal I'm coming in," Razer called kicking down the door, my eyes went dark.

POV Razer

I knocked the door down, and there was Crystal laying on the floor, a needle landed next to her, her body started to fit, I picked her up, bringing the needle, I started to go down the hull when "Razer what are you doing?" Meeps asked. 

"Something happened to Crystal, I...I don't know what," I answered, "You, don't happen to know where the Doctors are here?" 

Meeps nodded, "I have an idea where," Meeps said. we rushed as fast as we could, and what did we find Charlie treating Sheila who was undergoing something very similar.

"Crystal, What happened?" Charlie asked me. terror on his face. 

"I don't know, I want to talk to her but I heard screaming," I explained. Charlie pointed to a bed. I nodded to him placing Crystal in the bed, "Charlie I found this in the room with her," I held out the needle. charlie took it. 

"Okay, Raz...Razer thank you, Umm I need to stabilize them, you and Meeps go and wait with the others," Charlie said, he seemed tired and unsure. 

"Are you sure? Charlie, you shouldn't be doing this alone," Meeps said. 

Charlie turned, "I Can deal with this, it's just another problem, and that's what I'm best at solving problems," Charlie answered. 

"Charlie are you...." Meeps was cut short.

"I SAID I CAN DEAL WITH IT!" He yelled. 

Meeps looked concerned, But Charlie looked at her with a mix of anger and fear, "Come on Meeps, he clearly doesn't want us here," I said. 

the nearest room was a training hull, filled with the others, Rain, a recovered Stella, Kyle as in Charlie's friend, Ember, Moon, Our Kyle, Andrew and Alex, who looked worried. "Have you seen Charlie?" Ember asked. 

"Yeah, we just left Crystal with him, the same thing that happened to Sheila is happening to her," I explained. 

"Who would do this? and Why?" Stella asked. 

we waited for two hours in that room for Charlie to come and tell us what was happening, Alex was on the edge of panicking when Charlie finally walked in.

POV Charlie

"I've stabilised them both," I said, I took a set, slumping down, "thanks to Razer, I've managed to come up with an antidote, but..."

Stella looked at me, "Charlie what's wrong? did one of them die?" Stella asked.

I shook my head, "No, but one of them...one of them will have to," I said. I held up a glass tube, with an opaque liquid, "I only had enough materials in Frostbourne to make enough for one antidote," I answered.

Alex looked at me, "Give it to me," He said moving towards me, I don't know what he was going to do, I never had the chance to learn as Kyle summoned up his energy blades, placing it at Alex's neck. 

things escalated quickly, Soon enough I was seemed to be the only one not holding a sword to someone, Although A lot of those Swords were Stella's arcane swords, we were about a minute away from a fall blown fight breaking out. all over who lives, Sheila or Crystal. 

"Enough! everybody put your damned weapons down, and talk," I said, now no moved. "NOW!" I yelled. slowly everyone put their weapons down. "The problem is quite simple, two victims, One cure, Sheila or Crystal," 

"We can't just let Sheila die!" Alex said. 

I stared at the vile, "You know what you're asking? You are asking me to sacrifice the one I love for someone I've never even spoken to?" I said staring at him. 

"And you're asking me the same," Alex said.

"Your right, of course, you are, Crystal or Sheila? the answer was clear from the start, let's be honest, Who am I to chose my happiness over someone else's," I paused for a moment, "there had to be a reason you were brought here, From what I can tell Death is not as bad for you people. how many of you have died and come back from the dead?" serval hands went up. Ember, Meeps, Emo Kyle, I stopped counting there.

"Charlie, you died and came back, Or at least thats what you keep saying," Rain said.

"I was revied by an all power multiversal being, something tells me we can't just rely on him, I have a decision to make, Alex come on," 

we walked into the room where Crystal and Sheila lay. Crystal had woken up but clearly still weak, I rushed to her, "Crystal," I said tears pricking at my eyes, "I'm sorry, I'm so sorry," I said taking her hand. 

"Yo...you can't save u...us both, ca...can you?" She asked weakly, I nodded, Crystal eyes looked over to Sheila with Alex standing over the bed, "You...you have to save her, It's the ri...right thing to do," she said. 

I took her hand, "I know, I know, I just don't want to lose you," I said, She nodded.

"And I don't...don't want to lose you, but what about them, Please Charlie, don't save me at the cost of another," Crystal said, I nodded as the tears started to flow, her grip on my hand loosened, and she looked towards Sheila, I stood up and hand the vile to Alex.

"she needs to digest it, she should recover within an hour," I said, Alex took the vile and I returned to Crystal, as I heard the antidote being fed to Sheila, Crystal had passed out again, I took her hand and wait, An hour went by, and her breathing stopped, I rest my head on her stomach. "I'm sorry, Crystal I love you, I really do, and I'm so sorry," I heard Sheila starting to move, and I left the room, crying.

I rushed back to my room, making sure to lock the door. and enraged, I started to smash things, rip the paints off the wall, I screamed and screamed Until I put my fist through the window, by the time I was finished, the front room was the flat was a mess, I treated the cuts on my hand and left the room. 

I need a drink.
