POV Rain

why? why? why? why did Patrick have to send us out here with Alex and Sheila? So far there hadn't down anything to annoy us, but give them time, I was more worried for Charlie, he hadn't said a word, in fact, he hadn't looked up, since we left the portal.

"Hay Rain, where did you go last night?" Stella asked, "I woke and was worried before you came back,"

I thought for a moment, I didn't want to tell her I was feeling like shit because I let her become a nether kin, she would blame herself, "Charlie invited me for drinks with Ciara," I whispered to her.

"Do you wonder what we like in that other universe? do you think we're the same or different?" Stella asked.

I thought for a moment, Ember had talked a bit about his version of us, "I'm going to say yes, we're very different," I answered.

"I think it's because of Charlie, and quite possibly the lack of all the people that exist in Ember's universe," I answered, "Maybe being around Ember caused even worse trauma than What I had," I joked.

"I wonder what I'm like there," Stella said.

"How are you holding up with everything?" I asked.

"I'm fine, I'm put off by Gwendoly a little bit, but overall I'm doing fine," She said smiling at me, her smile melting my heart.

"Rain, Stella why don't people like me?" Charlie asked, we both looked at each other, and back at him, "Your both smart, you have to know why?"

something was defiantly working with him, he just called both smart without saying 'not as smart as me' on the end.

"Charlie, what do you mean?" Stella asked, "You're perfectly likeable most of the time,"

"if that were the case, Why does Razer, and well most of them seem to hate me?" Charlie asked. "Even Crystal doesn't seem to love me anymore,"

"Charlie I'm sure Razer doesn't hate you," I answered. "And Crystal does love you of course she does,"

Stella thought, "I think Razer finds you annoying, because...I...oh how can I say this, you can be a bit full of yourself, you are very egotistical," Stella said, "You tend to speak your mind instead of thinking what you say,"

"Oh, I...oh, is she right?" Charlie asked looking at me.

I nodded, "We've kinda gotten used to it, Razer hasn't,"

Charlie thought, "Thank you," He mumbled, as we reached a beach, I ran my hand throw the sand.

"This that a sword?" Alex asked.

we all turned and laying on the stone was a sword, "This that what we're here for?" I asked.

Charlie pulled the sonic out of his pocket and walked to the sword. he scanned it, "Well look at that, this sword is just radiating with energy from the other universes," he picked it up, before I could get a good look at it, he unzipped his bag and put the sword in, it was longer than his bag but fit in without a problem.

"How did that fit in there?" Sheila asked.

"Bigger on the inside, a gift from a friend," Charlie answered.

Sheila raised her weird commotion bracelet, "We're done here," she said into it, nothing but static.

Charlie raised his radio, "Greyhound 1 to underground, do you copy?" also only static, "We're being jammed," Charlie said.

"Who?" I asked before anyone could say something water lunged out from the ocean.

Stella put an arcane shield around me and herself, Alex and Sheila dodged out of the way, But Charlie was too slow to act, the water slamming him to a tree, "What's happening? is your sister attacking us?" I asked.
