The dog went off on his own way, leaving the researchers and elements to deal with everything on their own.
"Bye bye doggy." Avan waved, bidding goodbye to the helpful friend.
Ahana scoffed at the display.
"Don't channel your anger on the kid when you are actually irritated by those researchers," Neer whispered.
Not being able to keep in the excitement, Tej asked Gyaan once again, "You created the rainbow right?"
"Rainbow was created by us," Ahana deadpanned.
"What nonsense? How can fire create a rainbow?" Sarika asked, seemingly confident that it wasn't the work of Ahana.
"What are the basic necessities of the rainbow?" Neer asked calmly, "Raindrops meeting the sunlight, right?" Neer inquired with raised eyebrows.
They all nodded slowly, still trying to figure out the explanation.
Ahana sighed loudly, getting more and more irritated.
"Just for your smart yet dumbass brain, I will spell it out- Rain equals to water. And the sun is a huge fireball.
"If you don't understand after this, then I am out of here," Ahana snapped.
"Then what about the sky element?" Kriti questioned, while internally praying that Ahana would not blast a fire on her.
Gyaan spoke up this time, "Space or sky element as you called it is void. Too many things happen in it, but that element isn't the one who operates them.
"We can see the sun up in the sky, birds fly in the sky, breeze runs through the sky, rain falls from the sky. Everything happens in the sky but sky is just a platform not the performer. Hence, even if the sky is an element, there is no sky elemental."
"No sky elemental? Then who are you? And why do you have so much knowledge about the elements?" Payal asked in a high pitched tone, while hiding Avan from his gaze.
If he knew all this without being an element, then there was a 50-50 chance of his intentions. He might be here to help, or he could be possibly here to destroy the elements.
"Don't get scared. I am not interested in your child. Ahana and Neer are one's I have been following," Gyaan answered.
Instead of dissolving the wariness, his words increased the suspicion of the researchers.
"You cannot harm them. We won't let you," Reyansh declared, and earned affirmation from his team mates.
Even if those elements refused to join them to try and save the world, they were still the ones who rescued the kids. These researchers owed their whole life to these elements.
"What?! No, no, you took my words in the wrong way. I am not here to harm them. I am not a bad person." Gyaan raised his arms in surrender to show that he wasn't a threat.
"Then who the hell are you?" Ahana questioned. His knowledge of elements didn't make sense, unless he too was an element. Plus Grandpa did say that his Grandson was just like them.
Gyaan looked warily at everyone, not sure if they were trustable or not to let out his secret. Suddenly, he eyed the thick book in his hand that caught Rewa's attention.
"Oh my!! This book looks like that colourful book!" She exclaimed with shock in her voice.
The deed was done. Rewa picked up Gyaan's bait and everyone turned their attention to the colourful book.
"Look how thick it is. Ours just had three pages," Tejas commented, while silently requesting Gyaan if he could show them the book.
"I knew it. I told you guys there was another book with more than the summary of elements." Sarah smirked, raising her collars.
"You knew?" Kriti questioned, not really believing Sarah.
"We had a hunch," Rewa piped up. "And we were finding that book itself when the earthquake happened."
"Looks like I got my hopes for nothing. He is not an element. All the knowledge is just because of this book," Tej muttered as he kicked a pebble on the road with a frown on his face.
"True. This book contains lots of information about the elements," Gyaan agreed.
"Did you read the whole book? It is too huge. I don't think you would be able to remember everything," Sarah asked with raised eyebrows.
"I remember whatever I have read once. But I haven't completed the book yet," Gyaan answered truthfully.
"So you have a means to help me regulate my powers," Sameera guessed.
Gyaan nodded, "Yup. But along with the knowledge, you will need lots of practice. Look at these two," he pointed towards the twins, "they have been practicing for more than 10 years. So you will need lots of patience to perfect your power."
"Look how easily he agrees with his stalking ways," Ahana gave out an offhand comment.
Reyansh coughed, coming in between Ahana and Gyaan so they wouldn't kill each other with their glares.
"On a serious note, Gyaan, can you share your knowledge? You might come off as a great help to Avan and Sameera," saying that Reyansh turned towards Ahana and Neer, "I know you two hate it, but can you please think about joining us. Staying together would be really fruitful for all of us."
"United we stand, divided we fall," Ayaan blurted out the phrase by-hearted while learning Idioms and Proverbs.
Payal ruffled his hair affectionately, before addressing the twins, "Why don't you try and join us for a few days? You can always leave if this arrangement doesn't work."
"You should listen to them. It's not like you two have any place to go," Gyaan added his own Gyaan in between, earning a rightful glare from Ahana.
"Thanks but we won't be joining you all. We will leave as soon as our bike gets repaired," Neer said, what he was originally about to say, ignoring Gyaan altogether. But Ahana wasn't done with him.
"You can always take Gyaan with you. He has precise knowledge on elements, which will prove to be a great help for you all," Ahana said in a sickly sweet voice, letting everyone know that she was just trying to get rid of the overly intelligent guy.
"But...." Reyansh tried to request more, but Ahana and Neer started childishly chanting, "No nono no nooo," in a sing-song voice, while covering their ears.
Reyansh sighed, feeling down.
"Don't lose hope. We can try to convince them again," Tej assured optimistically.
"How about asking the mechanic to delay the repair of the twin's bike? You will get more time to convince them," Gyaan said in a low voice as he joined the duo.
Reyansh and Tej looked at Gyaan with a smirk, liking his plan. Gyaan too returned the smirk as he joined hands with the researchers.
