Gyaan jogged over to Sameera and Avan, ultimately causing Avan to lose in his game. Gyaan's presence gave away Avan's position and Ayaan found him quickly.
"There you are. I have been searching all over for you," Gyaan muttered, as he breathed heavily.
"Bad Bhaiya," Avan grumbled under his breath, before going to speak with his brother until Sameera spoke with Gyaan.
"Avan, I am going," Sameera called out after a few minutes, having talked it out with Gyaan. She was in much better condition than before and was ready to practice now.
"Wait! I am coming too," Avan yelled, and ran towards her after bidding bye to Ayaan.
Avan noticed Ahana cursing and Neer holding his head when he reached the place with Sameera and Gyaan.
"Will you give me another chance?" Sameera asked in a sheepish tone.
"You are back," Ahana stated in a flat tone, still angry about Sameera running away.
"Ahana," Neer warned. Sameera wasn't feeling good about the situation as it is, there was no need to escalate her fears.
Ahana ignored him royally before turning towards Sameera. "Look if you are going to keep running away at the sight of problems then I am not going to help you.
"I understand it is hard to cope up with the changes. Taking a breather is okay, asking us to wait until you are fine is okay too, but running away without a word- not acceptable," Ahana preached. Taking a glance at her brother, she added, "at least to me."
"It won't happen again," Sameera promised, taking Ahana's words seriously.
Even if the other two didn't react as strongly as Ahana, Sameera knew that she caused them trouble too.
"Sameera Aunty is ready to learn more," Avan piped up, thinking that Ahana still needed to be convinced.
"Sure kiddo." Ahana rolled her eyes with a small laugh.
And just like that, everything was normal. They started Sameera's practice. While Gyaan listed out the things an air element could perform; Ahana, Neer and Avan gave out advice from their own way of dealing with their powers.
Right now, Sameera was standing, focusing her whole concentration on moving the direction of the wind.
Her chest heaved as she tried to put all the pressure in the mind. She was almost there and just at the last moment, Sameera lost the connection and instead of going towards the left, the heavy breeze flew at the alarming speed towards the right, where the researchers' group had made their bonfire.
"Seriously! We barely managed to light the flame in this windy area," Tej yelled as the small fire that had just started disappeared.
"And they wanted us to stay together with them. Nonsense! Can't even handle a little issue," Ahana grumbled under her breath.
"Learn to adjust. Or else forget about taking the elements with us," Kriti spoke through gritted teeth as she hit the back of Tej's head.
"Sorry!" She yelled out the apology to the elements from her seat. "Please continue."
"Try again," Neer encouraged Sameera, while blinking his eyes at Ahana to calm down.
Nodding Sameera tried again. This time she could manage it for a few more seconds. However the end result was the same. The wind wiped out the fire the researchers had painstakingly created.
"I think I should practice something else," Sameera said, as she looked over at the silent yet brooding researchers.
"You won't get this cool cool wind to practice when we go to the lab," Avan informed.
"He is right. You should practice the tricks that go along with the surroundings," Gyaan agreed.
"But the bonfire...." Sameera bit her lips in worry. She didn't want to trouble others.
Ahana huffed, before eyeing the accumulated logs. It didn't take a second for the bonfire to start, startling the researchers by the suddenness of it.
"Practice as hard as you can. No wind can put out my fire," Ahana said with a hint of arrogance.
Before Sameera had the time to thank her, Ahana waved at everyone and went back towards their spot to take some rest. Ahana didn't want to waste more of her energy. Plus others were there to help Sameera.
As Ahana claimed, the fire never went down. Not even when the cold breeze turned into a windstorm.
All the chairs fell down and the tents were swaying dangerously, on the verge of destruction.
"What is happening?" Payal yelled over the wind as she tried to balance herself.
Dust was flying all over, making everyone squint their eyes. The wind was harsh causing everyone to lose their balance from time to time.
"Sameera, are you doing this?" Kriti questioned, thinking this was a result of Sameera's practice.
Kriti didn't even realize whose hand she was holding to balance herself, until she felt lost her footing and Tej saved her from falling.
"I...I..didn't...I didn't know," Kriti stuttered, while trying to remove herself from him, but Tej tightened his hold.
"It's fine," he muttered seemingly unaffected as he tried searching for Tejas, with Kriti still in his arms.
Kriti didn't fight more, and stayed put. Their issues could wait, there were more important matters to address right now.
Trying to ignore the man by her side, she tried looking for Sameera again.
"Sameera," she yelled out again and got startled when she realized that Sameera was standing so close.
"No, it's not me," Sameera answered, before moving towards the twins to find a solution to this natural disaster.
"Everyone get out of the tents. Make sure to hold onto the kids," Reyansh yelled, guiding everyone as he clutched Rewa's hands tightly.
The villagers had started coming out, knowing that the ceilings of their houses weren't strong enough.
"Bless the kind man who informed us to prepare emergency bags. Or else everything would have been left behind," a man spoke to no one in particular as he saw his house crumble due to the force of wind.
The mechanic cried seeing his garage destroyed but he thanked the stars. The man who gave him money to delay the repair of the bike had the intuition that anything can go wrong in this world of disasters and told him to carry the emergency bag at all times.
The mechanic hurried to get out of the village with other villagers who all had their emergency stuff with them.
However, all the villagers weren't that lucky. Not everyone listened to Gyaan's advice and were now trying to collect whatever they could.
Even in the case of an emergency, they couldn't think of leaving behind their belongings and hard earned money. A few houses collapsed, causing some people to get trapped inside.
It Was Chaos All Over Again!
