Maanvi and Neer's lovey dovey conversation was halted when Neer saw Ahana standing in front him with glaring eyes. If looks could kill, then Neer would have been dead by now.
"I will call you back," he hurriedly said to Maanvi, before cutting the call.
"What happened?" He asked, and instantly felt like it was a wrong question.
"What happened? What Happened? Seriously, I can't believe you can do such an idotic thing," Ahana said, while hitting his shoulders furiously.
"What?! Ow!!"
Sameera answered instead when she saw that Ahana was in no mood to stop hitting Neer.
"We just found an interesting fact today. I can't believe it took me so long to figure out who that person was.
"Ravi had once told me about his junior who got the punishment of overtime because she deleted a part of a video that her dog's camera had captured. The one who made documentaries.
"Do you happen to know who that junior was? Try and remember if you ever met with a girl who filmed documentaries and also had a dog with her." Sameera asked with folded hands, feeling as frustrated as Ahana.
"Ma...Maanvi." Neer realized when he saw all the glaring eyes at him.
"I clearly remember you telling us that Koko didn't have any camera on his collar. Can you please explain how Maanvi removed a clip when there was no camera to begin with?" Gyaan interrogated Neer.
Neer raised his hands in surrender, "I swear she deleted everything in front of me. Even Ravi told you there was a deleted clip. So, it means I was right in my instincts." Neer looked at Gyaan and Sameera, hoping that they would understand as nothing went wrong.
"What if you were wrong?" Ahana asked in a guarded tone. "It wasn't just your secret. You had no right to put everyone in danger," she yelled. "And don't give me the bullshit of your instinct. Use them when you and only you are concerned."
"Ahana...I..."
"Bloody love sick fool." Ahana glared at him for one last time, before stomping away towards the car.
Neer ran his hand through his face, not knowing how to correct the wrong.
"I...I am sorry. I made a major mistake. I...I don't have any excuses," Neer apologized to Sameera, Avan and Gyaan.
"Don't take her words to heart. Mistakes happen, but you can learn from them. You know your sister has a knack of losing her temper, don't feel so much hurt," Gyaan said, patting Neer's shoulders, before going to the car to put some sense in Ahana's mind.
"Just make sure to inform us about your instincts. Let's make a collective decision when our powers are involved," Sameera said, blinking her eyes reassuringly to let him know that everything will be okay.
Avan just hugged Neer, wordlessly letting him know that it was okay.
Neer sighed. He always knew that he had committed a mistake towards the elements, but he was also aware that informing them about the camera that night wasn't an option. Maanvi was too shaken to battle their interrogation.
He hoped that his one decision wouldn't cause havoc between Ahana and Maanvi.
Neer walked towards the car to see Gyaan talking to Ahana, while standing near the car's door.
"Come on, Ahana. You too know how hard it is for you and Neer to trust anybody. Don't call him a blindsided fool just like that. If he trusted her then give him some credibility. At least let him explain."
Ahana moved her eyes towards her hesitant twin who had silently come and stood behind Gyaan when he was talking.
"Explain."
Neer took a deep breath, before letting his heart out.
"By instincts, I didn't mean that I blindly trusted her. I just knew that she didn't deliberately hide the camera. That was what my instinct told me. Maanvi was already trembling and we all saw that. So, the topic of the camera came and she froze in fright, I knew that she had totally forgotten about its existence.
"I know I did wrong by hiding the fact. But I promise, I checked her phone thoroughly and made her delete all the clips in front of me. She even promised to never utter a word about it, no matter what the situation was."
"And she didn't," Ravi's voice came from behind as he wheeled himself near the trio.
"I don't think you all can imagine how much hard time she went through because of that deleted clip. She silently went through all the scoldings and punishment but never spoke about its contents. I can give a 100% guarantee that Maanvi is trustworthy."
Ahana looked into Neer's eyes and said firmly, "I understand the situation, but please don't hide things like this from now on," before moving to give him a hug.
"Sorry for calling you a love sick fool," she apologized while still hugging him.
"It's okay." Neer tightly hugged her back, his heart calming down by a notch.
Getting out of the hug, he looked at Ahana hopefully, "You are okay with Maanvi being with me, right?"
"You crush Maanvi?" Avan asked suddenly, causing Neer's eyes to widen at the choice of his words.
"No no, not that crushing crush. I am talking about the one like I have on Ahana didi," Avan clarified when he saw Neer's reaction.
"You have a crush on Ahana!" Gyaan yelled in shock.
"Why? Are you jealous that he likes me?" Ahana asked tauntingly.
"And the fight starts," Neer announced looking at both of them throwing insults and sarcastic comments at each other.
"Why do I have a feeling that this would turn into love?" Sameera asked no one in particular.
"No way," Neer denied straight away, "They would kill each other within one day of being together."
"Nah! I agree with Sameera. They will make an interesting couple," Ravi said.
Sameera explained her theory to Neer, "I think they are best for each other. We all saw how easily Gyaan handled Ahana's temper. And there is no other person who can bring down Gyaan's arrogance like Ahana does."
"Well...if not for me, then Gyaan is the next best candidate for Ahana didi," Avan agreed, shaking his head sadly at the truth.
Neer, Sameera and Ravi burst out laughing at his words and the cute pout Avan had made.
Avan pouted more as he saw them laughing at his genuine feelings. Huffing at them, he went towards Ahana and pulled her away from his competitor.
His action just set out another round of laughter. Avan just had a knack to turn any situation into a cute one and they all loved him for it.
