I blink, taking in the most magnificent gardens I'd ever seen. This vision is really something grand. The sun is shining brilliantly down on the flowers and bushes, making the foliage sparkle. In the middle of the gardens is a beautiful stone fountain, surrounded by matching stone benches.

On one of the benches, facing away from me, there is a girl with long, flowing lavender hair, sitting down, her hair blowing in the slight wind. Even though I can't see her face, I can tell she is one of the most beautiful people I'd ever seen. I walk forward, trying to get a better glimpse at her.

A young man with midnight blue hair and matching blue eyes runs up, waving at the girl.

"Lavender," he says, a smile lighting up those dazzling eyes.

Lavender? As in...? Now that I think about it, it really does look like her. Who Laverna was before. Lavender Nyghtski. She looks so young, and more vulnerable than the last time I saw her in a vision.

She looks up at the boy, her pale magenta eyes welling with tears. Magenta? Weren't her eyes purple before. Unless...

"Cian? Is everything alright? Did your mother...?"

He shakes his head, sitting down beside her on the bench.

"No, no, it's nothing like that. My mother hasn't banished you from horith or anything like that. I just wanted to update you on Cassius."

"Cassius? What's wrong with Cassius?"

"Well, nothing wrong, per say, but..."

"But...?"

"He's gotten engaged."

Lavender blinks, staring at Cian. She tilts her head, tears starting to fall rapidly from her eyes.

"Engaged? Really? B... b... but... he... I... who?"

Cian shakes his head, reaching up and putting a strand of Lavender's hair behind her ear.

"Athan asked me not to tell you. We know how vulnerable and unstable you are right now. We don't want you to have a relapse and worsen Aeron's curse."

"Does he love her? Does she love him? Will they be happy together?"

Lavender's tears were starting to dry up. She pulls her hair over one shoulder, and starts braiding it nervously, her eyes burning a much brighter red.

"Yes," Cian starts, softening his features. "They both love each other, a lot. I think they'll be very happy together."

Lavender nods, closing her eyes.

"Alright then. That's all I want, Cian. I just want y'all to be happy. After Grand Duke Byveria exiled me, the Royal Court of Horith is all I have left. I can't lose y'all too."

"What about your siblings? Surely they don't all agree with him..."

"Leta is fairly neutral about everything involving the state, and she's still reeling from the incident. Loki is currently studying in Irenus now, so I doubt he's heard news of my exile since he left. And Luna is too soft-hearted and complacent to stand against the Grand Duke. He basically raised us, after our parents died in the split. She'll do whatever he asks of her."

"I... I had no idea Lav," he says, surprise lighting up his face. I don't think he was expecting that her family was so distant from her. I wonder why she didn't mention the princes of Zoro though. Aren't they her brothers too?

He continues, smiling gently at her, trying to reassure her fears. "You're always welcome in my court."

Lavender leans into Cian, and he hugs her, pulling her close.
