"Mitch...I need to tell you something." Scott said as he sat at the edge of their bed. Mitch was looking through his closet. "Hm?"
Scott shrugged. "Um...can you actually come sit here next to me? I really want to say this face-to-face."
Mitch looked over his shoulder at Scott with a questioning look, raising his eyebrow. "Okay.."
He took a seat next to Scott.
"What's up, babe?"
Scott nervously ran his hand through his hair. He couldn't believe he was actually going to tell him. But it was now or never.
He took one last long sigh.
"Mitch...I don't know how to tell you this...but-"
"Oh god, no."
Scott glared at him. "What?"
Mitch rested his hand on Scott's shoulder. "You're straight."
Scott chuckled a little and smiled. "What? No! Mitch, I'm being serious."
Mitch laughed until he finally got himself together. "Okay, okay, I'm listening now. Seriously. Go on." Mitch said as he fidgeted with his beanie.
"Alright, um...okay, so...remember that Ouija board that Kevin brought?"
Mitch's facial expression completely changed, making Scott more nervous than before.
"You mean...the board that Kevin took back home with him? Yeah, what about it."
"Um...well that's the thing. Kevin....actually didn't take it home."
Mitch stood up and looked down at Scott.
"Scott. Where the fuck is this story going. And you better get to the fucking point now."
Scott stood up as well, facing him.
"Please, Mitch. Hear me out! I wanted to know what this thing wanted from us! I just need to tell you what it sai-"
"I don't give a fuck what that thing had to say, Scott!! Don't you get that?! How dare you go behind my back? I trusted you!"
He huffed and turned around, slamming the bedroom door, leaving Scott alone with his thoughts. He started to hear someone calling his name. "Hello?" "Someone there?""Scott!! Scott, wake up!" We have twenty minutes!"
Scott woke with a start.
"What? Huh?" He looked up and saw that Mitch was leaning over him, shaking his shoulder.
"C'mon babe. We can't be late for rehearsal again or Ben will kill us and change the band name to
Tri-atonics." He giggled at himself as he quickly leaned down and kissed Scott. "So hurry up!" He walked away into their bathroom.Scott sat up in the bed, resting his head in his hands. The vivid nightmare in mind. The guilt was obviously hanging over him like a dark cloud.
I have to tell him.
