"It wants Mitch."

It was then that Scott heard his phone vibrate, causing everyone to jump from the change of suspense and silence.

He took the phone out of his pocket and looked at the name.

"It's Mitch... He says he's on his way back!" He quickly stood up, everyone else doing the same.
"Hurry, Kevin, put this up and back in the cabinet!", Scott said as he frantically picked up the board and shoved it back into the box and handed it to Kevin.
"Got it." Kevin said as he walked away to put it in the cabinet.

Scott started to move the table back in it's place in front of their couch. "Kirst, Avi, turn on the lights!"

"Right!," Kirstie said as she turned on the lights in the living room and kitchen as Avi got the bedroom lights turned on.
They all walked back to the living room to meet up with Scott again as he stood up from pushing the table back. "Are we good?" Scott asked the group as they stood around him. They all glanced around the room.

"Yeah, I think we're good." Said Kirstie as she took a deep breath and sat on the couch. Scott took a seat next to her and let reality hit him all at one, resting his head in his hands, gripping his hair as he blankly stared down at the floor.

"Guys.....what am I going to do."

Kevin stood with his hands on his head, on top of his SnapBack, eyes wandering around the room hoping for an answer to tell his friend.

Avi took a seat on the table in front of the couch and faced Scott, placing his hand on Scott's shoulder comfortingly.
"Scott...relax."

Scott shot his head up and looked at him. "Relax?!" He retaliated. "How am I supposed to relax when there is something out there for Mitch?!" His tears were starting to build up behind his lashes.

Kirstie rested her head on his shoulder and rubbed his back in smooth circles in attempt to calm him down. "Sweetie..."

Scott stood up, out of both their reach. "No. I'm so sick of this!" He took another deep breath. He spoke softer, trying to lower his volume. "I just feel so...powerless." He looked down at his feet. He always felt embarrassed when admitting defeat.
"I don't want anything to happen to Mitch. It will have to go through me if this thing wants to get to him. I won't allow it."

Kevin spoke up, crossing his arms. "Why don't you just call a demonologist or something?
Get some professional help." He suggested.

Scott furrowed his eyebrows in thought. "You really think that would help? I don't want to make it mad.."

Avi stood. "Scott, you already got this board out. You've already provoked it. Might as well take it a step further. You have nothing to lose."

All of a sudden, they heard Mitch's keys jiggling in the door.

Scott quickly rubbed his face with his hands in attempt to rub off his worry and tears that had builded up.

"Hey, bitches!" Mitch said as he came in and closed the door behind him. His coffee was already half gone. He walked over to sit by Kirstie, setting his bag down by his feet, continuing to sip his drink. "Sorry it took me a while. They were packed!"

"That's okay," Kevin said, walking towards the door with Avi, "We should actually call it a night. Early morning tomorrow."
Scott walked them to the door and hugged them both. "See you guys."
Avi walked to the car and Kevin stood by Scott in the doorway, close enough to hear him whisper. "Be careful." He patted him on the back as Scott nodded his head, closing the door behind them.
The warning sent shivers down Scott's spine.
