"So how did you guys become best friends" Dave asked
"Ohh umm I moved in next door,and we bumped into each other and we started getting along preety well ever since" Clarissa said
Dave glanced at beth for her side,as if knowing what he wanted beth said "yeah that what exactly how it happened,how she said it"
"So what are your plans for the summer beth" Dave asked
"Actually last night,my mum told me about a residential camp she enrolled me into,she says its gonna be fun" Bethany explained
"When are you gonna be gone" Evans asked gaining a smack on the arm from lucas
"Ouch,you sure don't want me around" beth said faking been hurt
"Am sure you know that came out wrong" Evans defended
"Well I do know that's not want u meant for sure" evi said wiggling her eye brows
"Huh??...you guys are weird,well in about two weeks I ll be in camp" I said ignoring Dave's glaire
"Can I come with you please please,preety please" Lucas whinned
"Please please take him along if its possible" Dave said
Ignoring daves comment beth said "sorry dearest,but I don't think you would be able to come along,but don't worry I should just be gone two weeks and after that I would be back in time before you guys leave" she finished
"Soo let's make the two week you have left with us unforgettable" Claire said trying to lighten up the mood
"Yippee that's a good idea" Lucas said finishing his meal and pulling beth towards the living room with him
Bethany stopped abruptly like an idea pooped into her head
"Why don't we all head towards the park along the street,its a nice day so it should be fun" beth said
"Okay you guys head out while me and Dave clean up,then we will join you in a bit" Claire said
"Why does it have to be me really...I know am your favourite cousin and you have a crush on me and all but must you wanna spend all your time with me" Dave protested
"Don't be full of yourself Mr,am only trying to prevent you from flirting with all the babes in the park" Claire retorted
"Yea well....let's just get it over with" Dave said defeated
Lucas,Beth,Evans, and Evi headed to the park
Evans POV
The walk to the park seemed like forever,Evi and Beth kept on talking about a silky book they read online,I think its called cell phone swap....if I meet that talon guy,I will strangle him for been 'so amazing' according to the girls.
We got to the park in no time,it is actually a few blocks away from Claire's house. Immediately we got there Lucas notices the swirly slide and dashed off to go make new friends evi following after him,I was indeed happy cos I was finally alone with beth
"You wanna head towards the swing,it seems calmer there" I said nicely
"Yea sure thanks" beth said following me towards the swing
Beth placed herself gently on the swing and moved herself slowly,I took the swing beside her and there was an awkward silence
"I don't really like staying amongst people,I don't know but I like been kinda alone,am nt anti social and not that I want you to leave but I like staying in quiet places" beth said softly the gentle breeze blowing her hair away from her face
"Yeah I get,its also calms when you get to connect with your thoughts" I said " you wanna play 21 questions"
"Okay but you gonna go first" she said
"Okay so...lemme see...ehmm wats yourfave colour" I asked
"Its blue cos its the colour of the sky and sea...also red" she answered
"Your turn" I told her
"Would u rather live in a developed city or a place with just you and nature" she asked
"Definitely the natural place with just me and nature,its gonna be so peaceful and pleasing" I answered with enthusiasm
"Am very pleased with your answer am sure we are gonna get along perfect" she said grinning
"Okay my turn....would you rather date a guy who loves drawing, taking long walks and playing some instruments or the guy who lobes partying and having fun" I said
"Of course the guy who loves drawing and all" she said dreamily
"Ohh really" I said smirking
"What's with the look on your face silly" she asked
"Are you presently dating anyone" I tried asking with straight face
"Hey guys were here already...missed me?" Dave cooed
"Shit,he just had to come along and ruin it all...he always seem to have a bad timing" I said under my breath
I and beth headed towards them
"For the question you asked earlier,I don't at least not yet" she said smiling before leaving me to hug Claire
We briskly exchanged greetings and headed towards the roller coaster,Lucas took hold of beth's hand as usual and I noticed a scar on her lefthand,I was curious to know about the scar,immediately I let my curiosity die so it won't ruin the moment cos we all wera having fun
Bethany's POV
I had a great time today,I caught Evans glancing at me a few times which was cute,the rides were incredible,it was getting late so we headed home
"Hope you guys had fun" I said as we entered Claire's house
"Thanks for the best day ever" Lucas said hugging me
"Are you gonna wait for dinner" Dave asked
"Really....Dave get someone else to hit on,cos beth is taken" Eva said and all eyes shot at her
"Heyy calm down,I was just saying" Eva said shrugging it off
No wonder Claire loved her cousins,they were warm and nice
"I would love to,just have to call my mum and inform her that I wouldn't be coming for dinner" I said after a lot of persuasions
We had dinner in comfortable silence and we started chatting about random things,I bided them goodbye shortly after
