Day in the Life with EJ Caswell (School Edition)

I waited patiently outside of my house for my boyfriend, EJ, to come pick me up. I can't actually drive, yet. Technically I could take the test, but I'm not ready yet. I'm a senior, like EJ, and we've been dating for a year.

My boyfriend pulled up to my house in his white Jeep and honked the horn. Rolling down the window he said, "hop on in, princess." I rolled my eyes at the nickname as I got in.
"You look beautiful." He said.
"You too, handsome." I chuckled.
"Did you have breakfast?" He asked as he started driving.
"Yep, you?"
"Mhm, I just had some smoothie king before this."
"Yummy."
"Yes...you have any tests today?"
"Yes, but it's just Spanish. Should be easy."
"You are really good at Spanish, so you'll do great."
"Aw, thanks eej. Do you have rehearsal today?"
"Yes, like always." he laughed.
"How's the show going? I'm so excited to see it."
"It's okay, you know I think it would be better if I were Troy, but you know it is what it is."
"Yeah, I'm sure it would've been eej."
"Thanks, y/n. Plus, a smaller role means more time to spend with youuu." EJ said as he parked his car, he got out, and ran around to open mine. I laughed. He's cute like that. He grabbed my hand and helped me down. Jeeps are really high, and I'm really short. He locked his car as we walked into school with our hands interlocked. He walked me to my first class, making sure people saw when he dropped me off. I sighed and walked to my seat, my face burning with embarrassment. Don't get me wrong, I love EJ, but he definitely attracts more attention than me.

After a few more hours of boring classes and an 'A' on my Spanish Test it was time for lunch. I met EJ at our lunch table which included EJ's theatre friends, and my close friends from middle school.
"Hey y/n!" He said as I came up to sit next to him.
"Hey eej." He put his arm around me as I got out my lunchbox and started eating. We all talked for a while about all sorts of things, and 20 minutes later lunch was over. EJ and I had our next class together, Honors Trigonometry. It's horrible, but having it with EJ makes it better. We sit in our seats, next to each other, as he puts my arm around my back while we take notes. I put my head on his shoulder as he whispers to me, "can I come over tonight? We should work on this together. It's like..."
"Impossible." I finished his sentence as he nodded.
Class finally ended. We walked out of trig and he held my hand until he couldn't anymore and waved goodbye. I headed to my next class, with Nini. She gushed over how cute EJ and I am as she does everyday. She really is a great friend.

I had one last class, and finally, I was done with school. Whew.

I walked to yearbook club as EJ approached me, "heyy my pretty lady."
I giggled, "hey eej. Don't you have rehearsal?"
"Mmmm...yes. I just wanted to give you this." He said giving me a kiss.
"Ah, very important. Now, get to rehearsal before Miss Jenn kills you."
"Okayyy, I'll meet you at my car?"
"Yep, good luck eej."
"Thank you, y/n."
"Byeee."
"Byee."

-In yearbook club-

"Okay, so we've got multiple jobs today: take pictures, format, or interviews. Who wants to take pictures?"

I raised my hand. That's my absolute favorite thing to do.

"Okay, great! Y/n can do that job."

"Thank you!" I said grabbing the camera, about to leave as I realized she didn't tell me where to go.
I turned back and she said, "auditorium" She read my mind.
"Perfect, thanks." YAY! I get to take pictures of High School Musical rehearsal. EJ will be so excited! I think EJ mentioned a dress rehearsal today, so I'll get to see it!
I opened the door, as I heard 'The Start of Something New' sung by Ricky and Nini. They are so adorable together, honestly. I sat down in one of the chairs in the middle of the auditorium, and started taking pictures. They took a five, and so I sat back down and looked at the pictures I had so far.
"Hey."
"Ah, my gosh, you scared me EJ." I said, pulling his face down to give him a small kiss.
"Sorry, do you forgive me?" He said hopping in the chair next to me.
"Always."
"I was so excited when I saw you taking pictures I kept trying to say 'hi' but Miss Jenn wouldn't let me leave until the five."
"That's okay. I'm just happy to see you now." I smiled at him.
"Yes, how are you liking the show?"
"It's so good, honestly you're a great 'chad', eej."
"Well, thanks." He gave me a small smile.
"You better head back Caswell."
"You better get back to taking pictures of me y/l/n." He said as he striked a pose.
I rolled my eyes, but silently giggled. I love him.

After the show, EJ drove me home. He stayed for a while as we worked on the trigonometry homework, and he ate dinner with my family. He left because he had some other homework to do. Right before he did though, he pulled me out on the porch.

"I love you."
"I love you too." He gave me a small kiss on the forehead. "Goodnight darling."
"Goodnight handsome."
