Rock Climbing

"You ready eej?" I asked the scared face next to me.

"Umm...ready as I'll ever be I guess..." he responded.

"You got this, and don't forget, you're strapped in."

"Oh...yeah" he said as he let out a breath. He looked thankfully down at the harness.

"You guys are free to start climbing." the person holding our harnesses said. I've gone rock climbing before. Many times. I love it. So, I wanted to take my boyfriend, EJ, rock climbing. Now, EJ is good at almost everything. Singing, acting, water polo, school, etc. But...rock climbing...not one of those things. But, he had to get the experience. And, it's not like we were ACTUALLY rock climbing. We were in the YMCA. Not to mention, EJ is terrified of heights.

I started climbing the wall. EJ looked up at me, and I was already almost halfway there. EJ likes looking tough, especially in front of me, so he started to climb up...slowly. I laughed as I descended from the top, him just starting. I climbed up, once again, and I met him in the middle where he was.

"Hey." I said.

"Oh, hey. Look how far I am."

"You're doing really well." I said, holding in a laugh.

He looked at me with a shaky voice he replied, "Thanks, not as good as you though."

"That's okay. I have a lot of experience."

"Yeah, I'm gonna keep going." He said slowly inching toward the top.

-a few minutes later-

I had descended for the third time, as I looked up and saw EJ at the top.

"I MADE IT Y/N!!" EJ yelled down to me.
Gosh, I love him.

"YAYY!! GREAT JOB EEJ!! Just push off from the wall to come down."

"OKAY." He responded, coming down.

Once he made it down I gave him a hug. "Good job baby!! I'm so proud of you!"

"Thanks y/n!" he smiled stupidly.

"Wanna go again?" I asked him.

"Gosh, no. I'm never doing this again."

I laughed, "I love you."

He gave me a kiss on the cheek, "I love you too."
