My best friend Ricky approached me, "Nini says that you and my other friend EJ would be a good couple. I don't see it." He said, rolling his eyes.

I laughed, "EJ...Caswell?" No chance. Ej is basically the opposite of me. He's very sporty, and I'm into acting. Although, he does act. He's Gaston in Beauty and the Beast, and I'm Belle. He is very popular, and I'm...not. And I think he dated Nini which is like- weird because we are both friends with Ricky and Ricky is now dating Nini, so that's just so confusing. He's also probably a jerk. Is he hot though? Absolutely. But I'm pretty sure that every single girl in school had a crush on him, so I might as well...not. So as I said...no chance. It's funny that Nini thinks we would be good together. "No way."

"Okay." He shrugged. "See you later." He said, walking away to his next class.

"I really think you guys would be cute together!!" Nini insisted, as we organized my closet.

"No, no way." I laughed, "we are complete opposites."

"At least get to know him!! I mean...he wasn't right for me, but I think you'd two would be a great combination," she said.

I sighed, and stopped folding my clothes, "if I meet him, will you stop bothering me about it?"

"Yes!!" She's so enthusiastic about everything. It's hilarious.

"Fine. I'll meet him."

"Yay!! Let's go on a double date on Friday."

"I'll do it, but it's going to be awkward. 'Hi Nini's ex and Ricky's best friend. I'm Ricky and Nini's other best friend. Nice to meet you. Even though I actually already know you, we just totally ignore each other when we are not on stage.'" I said, mimicking what I might say to him on Friday. "He's not really my type either. He's so...social." He was really nice at rehearsal though, we talked a few times. It's just going to be so awkward. I'm so horrible at finding love, my friends had to do it for me.

She sighed, "don't worry! You two will click right away." I rolled my eyes as she laughed. "Let's get back to folding these clothes." I sighed.

I got ready in whatever I could find. It ended up being a knee length red dress, and some black flats. Ugh, I can't believe I shaved my legs for this. I put on a little bit of blush, and headed outside where Ricky and Nini were waiting in Ricky's car.

"You look great!!" Nini said as I got in the car. "Doesn't she look great, Ricky?"

"Yeah, you look good y/n/n. Didn't know you owned dresses."

I rolled my eyes, hiding my smile, "let's get this over with."

We arrived to pick up ej at his house. Let me just say, his house is gigantic. Wow.

"Heyy." Ej said as he did that high-five hug thing with Ricky, and slid into the back seat with me. "Wow. Hey y/n. You look-wow. It's uh- nice to meet you-like-for real I guess." He smiled as he stuck out his hand.

I giggled and shook his hand, "nice to meet you too, ej."

"I've heard a lot of good things about you from these two." He chuckled.

"Same here." I replied. We sat in silence for a few moments, but it wasn't awkward.

"Oh, I wanted to tell you that you're doing great in rehearsal. Like obviously everyone is, but you're an amazing singer." He smiled. I didn't realize he knew who I was before this. Like we had talked before while we're on stage, but I didn't know he listened to me sing.
