"What? You've never watched High School Musical?" My boyfriend EJ Caswell, who is in our school's production of High School Musical (the musical), asked me. He was so excited when he got the role of Troy. *yep it's an a/u*
"I haven't!" I giggled at his overdramatic response.
"We're watching it tonight."
"Tonight? It's already 9." I fake-yawned. No offense but High School Musical doesn't seem that good. Like I'm sure EJ will be amazing in it, but it's a little too cheesy for my liking.
"Yes. You don't have to be home until midnight, and it's a Friday." He huffed.
"Hmmmm...fine. Just because you're amazing. And you'll give me cuddles if I do."
"True." He kissed my forehead. We laid on the couch as he put his arms around my waist and I leaned into his chest. He clicked on Disney+ and turned on High School Musical.

My adorable boyfriend danced and sang the whole time. He sounded great. And you know what, it wasn't too bad. It wasn't too cheesy.

"So?" Ej asked me.
"It wasn't too bad, but you were the most entertaining part." I laughed remembering how he dramatically mouthed Gabriella's lyrics.
"I know." He laughed. "Thanks for watching it with me baby. It meant a lot. I know musicals and romcoms aren't your thing, but you still watched it."
"Yeah, well...that's what you do when you love someone."
"I love you too y/n."
"No...sorry. I was saying I love Zac Efron."
"YOU JERK!" He said hitting me (softly) with a pillow.
I giggled, "I surrender!! I love you, EJ Caswell."
He kissed me quickly, "love you too y/f/n."
