"WELCOMEEEE TO THE COUPLE COOKING COMPETITION OF THE YEAR!!! IN THIS CORNER WE'VE GOT SEBLOS." Kourtney said, as cheers erupted, "AND HERE WE'VE GOT REDLYN!!!!!!" More cheers, "AND OVER HERE WE'VE GOT RRRRRRINI!!!!!!" They had a ton of cheers, "AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST WE HAVE y/nship!!!!!!!" And of course, we had the most cheers. I laughed. My friends and I do a couple's cooking competition every year at my house. It's a super fun tradition. EJ and I have a three-year winning streak, and that's how long we've been doing this competition and dating. I know, pretty impressive if I do say so myself. The people who are single are the judges. Everyone in our group this year was dating someone, so Gina, Jack, Kourtney, and Howie were the judges. I guess they were too intimidated to go up against the 3-year champs. It's kinda sad for Big Red. His family literally owns a restaurant.

"EVERYONE HAS TO MAKE SOMETHING IN THIS CATEGORY 'KOURTNEY'S FAV FOOD!'" Kourtney yelled. We all laughed.

I giggled, "We got this." I gave a quick fist bump to EJ. 

"You guys have 2 hours. Go!" Kourtney yelled.

EJ and I decided to make spaghetti. Simple but delicious. And Kourtney loves it. We started cooking, and EJ held my hand the entire time. He does this every year. It's so cute. We may be 2x less productive this way, but the judges like it when the couples are romantic with each other. It gets you extra points, and EJ and I have no issue doing that.

"5...4...3...2...1!!! Hands up!!!" Kourtney, Howie, Gina, and Jack yelled.

EJ and I grinned. We had taste-tested the spaghetti and it was one of our best dishes ever.

"Okay, everyone. First up to present the dish is Seblos."

"Okay, judges. We made a cheeseburger and fries. One of Kourtney's favs." Carlos said.

"It's really good! I snuck a few fries in before we gave you the dish." Seb said, excitedly.

"MM! This is really good guys!" Gina complimented.

"Yeah, delicious!" Jack added.

I looked at EJ worriedly as he gave me the same face. If you can't tell, we're really competitive. He grabbed my hand and kissed it quickly.

"The meat is a little dry." Kourtney said.

"Just a smidge." Howie added on.

"Dry??? DRYY??? Did you call my masterpiece DRY????" Carlos exploded.

"Carlos." Seb said, smiling a little, "it's okay!! I'm sure it was still really good."

Kourtney grinned, "Redlyn, you're next."

Big Red and Ashlyn handed out their meals as they said in sync, "We made fajitas!!"

"Oh my gosh, I love fajitas!" Kourtney exclaimed, digging in.

"They're really hard to make, though." Howie grinned.

"Yeah, Howie tried to make them for me..." Kourtney grinned, the two looking at each other, "let's just say...they weren't up to my standards."

Gina smiled, "pretty good! Oh my gosh..." Her face turned sour.

Jack's eyes bulged, "...the aftertaste!! Oh my."

Kourtney said, "umm...maybe stick to pizza, Red."

Everyone laughed as Big Red and Ashlyn went back to their seats.

"Rini is up next," Kourtney smiled.

"Kourt and judges, we made you a triple tier chocolate cake!" Nini said, excitedly.

"We know, it's one of your favorite foods." Ricky said robotically looking at his hand at some words, I assume Nini wrote for him. I laughed a little, showing ej as he grinned. We're just so charismatic. We don't need scripts. ✨Improv✨.

Nini and Ricky's chocolate cake seemed okay based on what the judges said. Last up, was us.

"Hey judges!" EJ started.

"We made you spaghetti, because we know that Kourt and the rest of you love it." I added as ej handed out the dishes and then grabbed my hand.

I could tell we were both thinking, 'We better win.'

They dug into their food and started smiling, "dang it, you've done it again." Kourtney said.

EJ and I high-fived and sat back down as the judges deliberated for a minute.

"And the winner is...y/nship!! I'm so sorry everyone else. They are just much better than you." Kourtney laughed, handing us the small trophy.

"Ugh, next year you have to let someone else win." Gina grinned, giving me a hug.

I jumped into ej's arms. "You're so talented." I grinned, whispering into his ears.

"Me?? We always win because of you!" EJ replied.

"Oh my gosh, I love you." I said.

"I love you too." He said, grinning.
