I rung the doorbell to my girlfriends house as my foot tapped out of nervousness.

Today was the day.

I opened the door to y/m/n's face. She smiled, "hey ej! Come in!"

I smiled, "hey mrs. y/l/n! How are you?" I asked as I came into the house.

"I'm doing well! So what brings you here?" She said, welcoming me in.

"Uh-well I actually had a question for you and Mr. Y/l/n if you don't mind." I said, obviously nervous.

She smirked. She knew what this was about, "of course! Y/d/n can you come here real quick?"

"Why?" I heard him say from the living room.

"eej is here!" Y/N's mom yelled back. I smiled. Her dad is literally the best.

"OH OKAY, COMING!!" He yelled back.

Mrs. Y/l/n giggled, "he loves you, kiddo."

I smiled. That's a relief.

"Hey kiddo!" Y/N's dad smiled, giving me a hug.

I hugged him back, "nice to see you, sir!" *peter parker vibes lol*

He grinned, "so what's up?"

"I actually had an important question for both of you."

Y/N's mom smirked at her husband, who furrowed his eyebrows, who was obviously clueless. I chuckled a little and started stuttering out, "would you both-uhm-allow me to take y/n's hand-"

"In marriage!!!! Yes!!!!" Her mom burst out, finishing my sentence and squeezing me into a hug.

I chuckled, hugging her back. "Mr. L/n?"

He nodded and smiled, "I think you're the best one for my daughter." He shook my hand. "It's just crazy. I feel like we just got married, now our daughter is getting married?"

I smiled and said, "if she says yes." I was partially joking - partially actually nervous.

Mrs. L/n raised her eyebrows, "she definitely will. She's so in love with you."

I smiled. I'm so in love with her too. "Thanks Mrs. L/n. I'll see you both later. Bye!!"

"Call us when she says 'yes'!" Mrs. L/n smiled.

I chuckled, "will do!" and left their house.

"He's a great kid." I smiled. He's going to treasure y/n.

"Perfect for our daughter."

I nodded, giving my wife a kiss on her forehead.
