The Amazing Race

Background: EJ Caswell and you have been dating for 4 years. You met him in my freshman year of college, and you both just graduated. You are both going to law school next fall. Your dream is going on The Amazing Race.

I heard a knock on my door and opened it to see my cute boyfriend with a backpack on his back. "Backpack? Where are you going?" I laughed.

"The amazing race." He smiled, simply.

My mouth dropped wide open, "you're kidding."

"Nope, let's get you packed. We're leaving tomorrow. I let your parents know. I'm staying the night here because I want to binge it."

I grinned and hugged him, "you're amazing, you know that, EJ Caswell?"

"Yup, I know that. Let's get you packed!" He smiled, coming into my apartment. We spent the next few hours watching the amazing race and packing for the show. He kept kissing me and hugging me. He was usually romantic, but this was over the top. I called my parents, and ej talked to his parents and his sister. I heard him giggling on the phone as well. I wondered what that was about. I kinda forgot about it as he sat down on the couch with me and started kissing me once again.

"eej." I laughed, pulling away.

"What's wrong?" He furrowed his eyebrows in concern.

"Nothing," I giggled, "just...you're acting...weird." He looked concerned once again and I continued, "it's not that I don't love the affection, it just, seems like it came out of nowhere."

He shrugged, "I guess I just realized how much you mean to me." He grinned, kissing me on the lips once more.

"Let's-" he interrupted me with a kiss, "eej, we can kiss more later." I giggled. I leaned my head on his shoulder and he put his arm around me. "Let's watch the amazing race, huh? Maybe, get some tips."

"Good idea." He smiled at me.

We spent the rest of the night watching the amazing race and eating pizza. I fell asleep on his lap and he carried me to my bed - since it will be my last night there for a month; I might as well enjoy it. I slept well, and I think ej, the sweetheart, slept on the couch.

The next morning

I woke up to the beautiful face of my boyfriend. He kissed me lightly and said, "wake up, darling. We've got a flight to catch."

I smiled at him and got out of bed. I got ready quickly. This is an exciting day.

We both got ready, picked up some IHOP, and headed to the airport. I am so freaking excited. We quickly hopped on our flight to LA where we would see Phil. Ahh, I'm a huge fan.

2 hours later

We arrived in LA, finally! EJ squeezed my hand and kissed my cheek when the plane landed. We grabbed our backpacks and got off the plane quickly. EJ grabbed my hand and we got a taxi to a park nearby where Phil told us to meet. We made it there and ej flashed a smile at me. I grinned back at him as Phil started talking. Our first destination: Paris, France. City of love. EJ basically gave me heart eyes when Phil said this, and I did the same back to him. We'll definitely be fan favorites.

1 week later

It had been 1 week of the amazing race, and as you may assume due to the name, it is absolutely amazing. I absolutely love spending my days and nights with ej. Paris was exceptionally beautiful. Anyways, E's still on a kissing spree, and it's almost funny. I'll be doing a task on the show, and he'll kiss me. It's really cute, but strange also.

2 weeks later

EJ and I had made it!!! It was finally time for our last location: New York City. Luckily, that's been our hometown for the past 4 years, so EJ and I know our way around, especially since our weekly date is a walk around town somewhere we haven't been yet. At this point, we've been to almost every location around here. We flew to New York as soon as possible, and spent the day doing tasks around town. Pit Stop: Central Park. I love Central Park. It's absolutely beautiful. EJ grinned when he read the clue and put his hand in his coat pocket. He let out a breath and I giggled. He's acting funny. Especially today. Almost-nervous. We caught a taxi to Central Park with the feeling that we were  the first team. We ran up to Phil.

"WE'RE FIRST!!!" I yelled with excitement.

"WE'RE FIRST!!!!" He yelled back.

"You're first!" Phil laughed.

I jumped into his arms and let him kiss me. The previously eliminated teams and Phil cheered as I started happily crying. This has been a huge dream of mine. Phil gave us the run-down of the season and offered congratulations.

EJ suddenly got down on one knee. I gasped as he started and everyone cheered, "y/n, I know this is your dream proposal." He giggled, "so here I am, trying to make your dreams come true. And obviously, I've been planning this for like-ever. And well, that's why I've been acting so weird." I giggled at this and felt tears streaming down my face. "Since winning the amazing race and then getting engaged is your dream, I would really appreciate it if you would make my dreams come true and be my wife?"

I giggled and kissed him, "of course, ej!!" The tears were back at it again and I smiled, "I love you so much, Caswell." He's so amazing.

"Love you too, Caswell." He whispered to me and winked.
