2: Time Jump

4 YEARS LATER & PRESENT 

AELIA POV

Five total years have passed since Kira decided we all needed to go into hiding. Don't get me wrong, I don't think she was wrong but it hasn't been fun, it hasn't been grand. When it was first brought up me and Cyprus were told if we could find a way to go to school then we could go, that way he could see Anna still and I could see Rhosyn. That wasn't the case for the first year. We were in hiding for a year before we were able to leave on our own and go to Elmway. We weren't allowed to go back to Green Glenn and we weren't supposed to step foot in Rosedale except for when I was in school.

When me and Cyprus first got to Elmway and went to find Anna and Rose, what we found was what neither of us expected. Luckily, since then we've been together. A group of four just living in the freshest abandoned building in Elmway. 

Justin, Esme and the rest of the pack are still in Oxpeak. Kira and Jace were staying in Baymoor with Fen and Lilly. Kai and Rowan were staying in Dewcrest. The towns backed up to each other which made it easy to see everyone and made sure we could get to each other if something were to happen, like a fight. We've had multiple of them, many people have come looking for the stones. Vampires, witches, wolves... all types, we even had a Quanlier come and try to take it from us, their venom is extremely poisonous and none of us were sure how that one even existed. Usually it's just their venom that's used but this was the entire animal. Kira acquired their ability for a short amount of time many years ago, atleast that's what I've heard. 

Cyprus and I have managed to keep it lowkey here, we've kept our hoods up and heads down to keep under the radar. We aren't supposed to be seen or even known. We've kept in contact with Kai, Esme and Kira periodically just through magic so they know how we're doing but other than that, we haven't seen them. It's a Friday, we're just in the start of winter, December 28 and it's already blistering cold outside, I'm not ready for this... I hate cold weather. The winds are atrocious here, enough to knock over unstable buildings. None of us have anything better to do so I decide we could hangout and watch some movies. Since we don't have power here... or water... or heat or anything really, I'm mainly in charge of everything because I have the ability to. Cyprus though, he's a natural heater but it's not like we all cuddle up with him you know, me and Rose still have to figure it out for us, blankets are usually enough. 

"Good afternoon my love," I chuckled as I walked over to Rose who was just now waking up. It's passed noon. She walked right to me, leaning into my shoulder. 

"Hi," she yawned, "how are you?"

"I'm good," I kissed the top of her head as I played with her hair, "how are you? Sleep okay?" 

She nodded her head slowly, "do you have any plans today?" 

"I don't think so," I shook my head, "I planned on just hanging out with everyone. Anna went to the store earlier to grab some snack foods. You heard anything else about your dad?" 

"No," she shook her head. Her dad got out on good behavior and over crowding about two months ago. Well, he found Gerald who was her moms fuck buddy and well... he killed him. So now he's back in, this time doing a heftier amount of time, 40 years. She was upset about it for a while but she's recently been doing okay, better. 

"Talked to your mom?" I asked. I know it's a sensitive subject but I want to know and I want her to know that I care and that I will listen to her. 

"Don't want to," she sighed while shaking her head again, "I don't want to go around her, don't want to see her." 

"Okay," I nodded, "fair enough, I get it." 

"I guess Cyprus is upstairs?" she questioned. Just as she finished, Anna walked through the front door.
