CYPRUS POV

ONE WEEK LATER

With Daniel on our side but refusing to be civil, he's been asked to step down as alpha or find another land to walk on. He's healed, drank Cades blood the same night he was bitten, and we haven't seen him since. I'm honestly surprised at how simple things went. He doesn't know Narah and Camille are here, to his knowledge both of them took off together shortly after we went to sleep. He'd want to kill them for betraying the pack. While I won't let that happen, there'd still be a fight and a fight isn't necessary. Therefore, he doesn't need to know and he won't find out. Those two, they're best friends here, like sisters. Probably best they have each other. Neither of them talk much either, I guess I don't blame them. This isn't normally how things are done and they could be punished for what they did; running off like this, hiding. Then again we could all be in trouble too... but we won't be, we'll be fine.

Fen and Cade dumped Carrie in some place a few days ago. Not sure where. Lilly told them to go and made it clear that only her and those two would know for the sake of everyone's safety. She was a whack job, Carrie. She has a lot of issues. Not a good person. She beat the shit out of Zero. I respect him for not retaliating, family or not.. because had it been me and had I been able to do something, I think I would have.

I'm healed, fully, and I can't even begin to tell you how amazing it feels to walk and have zero pain. I can bend my fingers and toes, actually grab and hold onto things. I can shift into a wolf again.. that alone feels spectacular. He's been clawing to get out.

I headed downstairs where all the girls, minus Lilly, Narah and Camille, sat drinking their coffee. I didn't listen in on their conversation but I could hear them giggling and whispering. Anna stood up a few seconds after I turned to face them, she walks over to me and slowly wraps her arms up and around my neck.

"Goodmorning handsome," she kissed my neck, sending chills down my spine, "how'd you sleep?"

"Good," I kissed her forehead, "you know that drives me crazy." I leaned down and whispered in her ear so no one else heard. She laughed softly before nodding her head, telling me she knows. I give her a devilish grin and she poured herself another cup of coffee. "What do you wanna do today?"

"I don't know," I shook my head, "I haven't been able to stop thinking about my mom. I've wanted to call her but I don't want to risk anything either. We were busted last time, we'd be caught again this time I feel like... I just, I can't really sleep ya know? I- I'm worried about her and you know, she has the stone. She's got the last one. The one for the wolves. I mean what if Daniel tries to destroy it? What if-"

She set her hands on my shoulders, "babe. You're overthinking it a bit. They can't do anything with one stone, they have to have all three. And you know that Justin and Esme and them have the other two. Nothing's gonna happen to you." I looked into her eyes. I want to marry her. I want her forever... I mean, always. I want to make a family with her. The thought left a stinging pain right behind it. We can't have kids, she can't anyhow. Not anymore. I guess that doesn't pull from adoption though, right?

"I love you," I set my hand under her cheek, slowly leaning her head back before kissing her, "but we have to figure out something. You help me?" She smiles, agreeing and telling me she love me before listening while I filled them in.

"Star 69 call her," Aelia sat back, "won't pop up as your name." Brilliant. I didn't even think about that. I pulled out my phone, dialing her number and pressing it to my ear. I walked towards the front door, opening it before stepping out into the humid air. The phone rang and rang... I wasn't sure if she'd answer but then she did.

"Who is this?" her voice was shaky.

"M-mom?" I whispered, "are-are you alone?" The other line was silent. "Mom?"
