ANNA POV

Lilly left before most of us were even awake, Aelia was the only one she said bye to. Her and Zero are supposedly going to this place called the Movie Dome. I've heard of it, it's up in Newgate, about two to two and a half hours from this house, maybe three at max. Aelia is still mourning which is also understandable, I can't say I blame her either.

Fen was upstairs with Caitlyn, the two of them were in his room. I haven't seen her since yesterday, I can't say I blame her. When Cade and Cyprus came running into the store and told us what had happened, Lilly bolted. She was the first one out of the store and I honestly won't ever forget the look on any of our faces.

This whole vampire life is honestly the most freeing feeling I've ever had. I can run so fast and jump so high, I can hear what others couldn't, see what others can't. I don't know where to begin explaining what I feel because it is this burning passion. I look at Cyprus and there isn't a thing I wouldn't do for him. With Gareth gone... I don't have any anger towards anyone really. I mean Raven is the last of the main group, she'll take over the remaining vampires in town. If she's smart she'll just leave or she'll join us or  she'll agree to wave the flag and just be friends, not enemies.

I've been drinking off blood bags that Cade and Lilly are able to sneak from the hospital, total life savers. They try to make it work with animal blood but me and Cade find it impossible to only drink from an animal. I've only been a vampire for like a week, two at most but I can already tell that'll be an issue.

I could hear Cyprus' alarm start ringing upstairs so I ran up and jumped in bed with him, pressing my lips to his.

"Good morning," he said surprised, "what was that for?"

"Nothing specifically," I smiled as I turned my head to the side, "I just wanted a kiss from you."

"Well in that case," he wrapped his arms around me and pulled me back to his lips. He pressed his against mine before hugging me tightly, wrapping both his legs and arms around me. "I love you," he whispered in my ear.

"I love you baby," I pulled back and kissed his cheek before rubbing his back gently up and down. "You want any breakfast?" I asked.

"Mm that does sound good," he sat up slowly, "what are you thinking?"

"I don't know," I shrugged, "pancakes?" A smile broke out across his face as he started to nod his head.

"Those do sound good," he smiled, "yeah come on, we can go together. Anyone else up?"

"Aelia," I nodded, "Lilly left with Zero this morning-"

"Where'd they go?" he cut me off.

"The Movie Dome," I nodded, "I'm sure they'll be fine."

"I don't trust him," he shook his head.

"That's because you're like the eldest brother here," I chuckled, "you're basically leader and he hasn't shown his face in here yet. I'm sure he's fine."

"What if he's not?" he asked.

"Then we'll handle it when the time comes," I kissed his forehead again, "but we can't judge, we barely know him. Come on, lets go cook some pancakes." He groggily got up and the two of us started to head downstairs. Aelia was sitting on the couch in silence with her coffee sitting on table barely touched.

"Hey," he walked over and sat down next to her as I walked into the kitchen, "how're you feeling?"

"Shitty," she sniffled while shaking her head, "sad. I just, I feel like I don't want to do anything."
