5: Reunion

CYPRUS POV

By now the sun was fully down and the moon was shining bright. The stars were out and clear as day. Aelia has been quiet ever since our conversation earlier, as far as I know she hasn't said anything to Rose or Anna. I hope she doesn't. I know it'll worry Anna... and that's the last thing I want to do. 

We haven't done much, just sit around most of today. Anna went to the store but at that point, I was still sleeping. House is clean though, I assume Aelia and Rose put the work in around here. 

"Okay," Aelia called out, "dinner's ready. Everyone come get it." Me and Anna stood up and walked into the kitchen. Laid out was way more food than we normally eat. 

"Why so much?" I asked, "I mean it's only us four." 

"Is it?" she asked. 

"What?" I asked confused. Not ten seconds later the back door opened and in walked Cade... my brother. I can't explain the feeling, I'm so beyond happy. "Cade?" I laughed, "Cade! FEN?! Oh my god! Guys!" I walked over and the three of us hugged each other. 

"Jesus man look at you," Cade walked backwards, "you're like buff now?" 

"Man look at you guys!" I laughed, "holy shit you guys have grown so much." 

"Dude we've missed you," Fen playfully hit my shoulder, "all of us. It's been hell up there." 

"Really?" I asked, "what's been going on?" 

"Well there have been quite a few fights," he explained, "they've kept them off. They haven't let us fight though, we're supposed to just hang back until we get 'the signal.'" 

"But we're okay," Cade nodded, "They're good up there." 

"Hey come on," I nodded, "lets eat huh?" They walked past me and I turned to look at everyone, "damn family reunion around here. Aelia you knew?" 

"Of course I knew," she laughed, "of course." 

Cade, he was grown up. He's grown a lot. His hair was dark, almost black. Eyes were still that deep blue-grey color but he was taller and much more muscular. His voice was deeper than it was before. His hair was shorter, more spiked up in the front. 

Fen, he too has grown up a ton. Still skinny and looks like he has no muscle, but he truly has always been one of the strongest between us. His hair was a bit longer, down to his shoulders all the way around but he had it pulled back right now. 

And Lilly, she's grown into a beautiful young woman too. Her hair was long and the light reflected from it. She was still pretty short but I mean... look at Kira. I wouldn't underestimate her though, she's still a total badass. 

All of them are, I mean I haven't trained with them in four years but even the last time I did, they proved their strengths. The seven of us sat down with our plates and started to eat. Afterwards we put the dishes in the sink and we gathered into the living room. 

"So what brought you guys out here?" I asked, "how'd you get away? Did they let you leave?" 

"Not even close," Fen sighed. I looked at the three of them, the only one making eye contact with me was Cade. 

"What happened?" I asked, "Cade?" 

"Tipping point was Vega," he muttered, "she uhm- well let me start with I was talking to dad and we kinda got into an argument so I went home. Mom was pressing me to figure out what was wrong so I vented to her. Well dad must of heard because he came barging in all pissed off, luckily mom stopped him and he went outside. She made me go to my room where I could clearly hear them arguing outside about me staying or leaving. That's when Vega came in and she- she-" He took a deep breathe and wiped his face before looking at me again, "we haven't been doing too well for the last couple of years. We split up, we've tried working it out but it just doesn't. Well... she's pregnant now and I can assure you it isn't mine because it's Xions."
