54: Battle Royale

CADE POV

It was a complete war zone here. There were thuds everywhere that echoed throughout the woods. Yells, grunts and threats were being thrown around like no other. 

"Cade!" Narah yelped, "get off of me!" I spun around to look for her, seeing a witch over top of her. I snapped before taking off towards them. I jumped, grabbing him and swinging him around to the ground before breaking his neck. 

"SIZ!" Dory screamed before throwing her hands out towards me. I took the blunt of the hit, landing on the ground and rolling over a few times. My ribs felt like they were shattered. It hurts to breathe. I guess I just killed Siz. There was a sudden boom and I felt the vibration in my chest. Cries and screams overtook my ears. Whatever that was, it wasn't good. I gotta get back to Narah.

CAITLYN POV

Everything is in slow motion right now. My ears are ringing and I'm dizzy. I look around, trying to gather what I'm seeing. Finally it all clears up and I push myself up from the ground. That's when I notice blood covering my arms and shirt and pants. I turned around in a circle while trying to look at myself but I can't figure out where it's coming from. 

I looked around for Fen who was fighting with a witch. It didn't last long though... he got the upper hand, ripping his head off. I heard a sudden yelp and I jerked my head around to see a witch standing above a wolf. I looked closer to see if I recognized who it was but I don't... but I do know it's one of us. 

"Maelyn!" Justin screamed out, "NO!" He stopped and let out a loud howl. I looked around watching everyone pause for a second, listening to him... taking it in. I watched as the rest of Justin's pack barged out of the house. I guess Maelyn snuck out with us... the packs were supposed to be inside. I should be inside, I don't know why I'm out here. I don't even remember how I got out here. I must of been by the house and then that big explosion... I woke up on the ground in a hole. 

"What happened to you?" Fen ran over and grabbed me. Suddenly I felt a sharp pain, as soon as he picked me up. I grabbed at my chest. "Woah woah woah," he set me down, "Caitlyn, what's wrong?" I shook my head... because I don't know. I don't know what's happening, I don't know what's wrong. He lifted up my shirt and his eyes widened. "Okay," he looked around frantically, "okay, hold on, please hold on. Breathe." I felt his hands go over me and a burning feeling swallowed me. Suddenly he was yanked away from me. 

I tried to follow him, watch him but there was too much going on, too many people everywhere. Is this it? Is this where I end...?

LILLY POV

With all of the wolves fighting now we're starting to get the upper hand. Cyprus is going ballistic right now. I think I've watched him kill atleast 5 witches. Nick let out a howl.. that's never good. Someone just passed from his pack. 

"Get away from her Daniel!" Cyprus yelled. I stopped to watch as he took off towards him. Anna was laying on the ground.. she's partially gray from forced desiccation. Cyprus and Daniel started to fight. When I saw Dory running towards them, I ran after her. Justin beat me to it though, grabbing Dory mid jump and taking her to the ground. 

"You're an abomination!" Dory slandered, "get off of me you mutt!" 

"You've tortured my family!" Justin slammed her down, "you're the only abomination here!" He threw Dory through the air. She hit the ground and rolled a few times. Esme and Justin started back towards her. I staggered away looking around for Zero who seemed to be looking for me. He bolted over to me and I wrapped my arms around him, giving him a relieving hug.
