51: Tip-Off

CYPRUS POV

"Anna," I rolled over, "baby time to start waking up." I rolled out of bed and threw on a pair of jeans and a t-shirt. Anna had slowly gotten out of bed and was also getting dressed. I headed downstairs where Aelia, Cami, Cade and Narah all sat on the couch talking. Cade stood as I made my way downstairs. "You guys ready?" I asked. 

"Yeah," Aelia let out a sigh as she stood up, "yeah we're ready. We've got food in the car, drinks and stuff too. Are you guys ready?" 

"Yeah just have to grab a couple bags of clothes and we should be good," I nodded, "Anna is getting ready. Where is Lilly and Zero? Fen?" She told me that Lilly and Zero are outside, out front. Fen is upstairs with Caitlyn, should have seen that one coming. I don't know if it's better leaving her here by herself or making her come with. She could always stay in the car, plus we have the room. 

I headed upstairs to check on Anna who was just walking out of our room, "oh, hey baby. I'm ready." 

"Okay," I kissed her head, "I'll be down in a second." She nodded, walking by me. I made my way to Fens room, opening the door. Her and him were sitting in the bed making out. "Oh I'm sorry!" I covered my eyes and backed out, "I'm sorry!" 

"Jesus Cyprus," Fen let out a roar, "no knock? Come in. You're fine now. What's up?" 

"There's uhm- uh- there's extra room for you," I pointed at Caitlyn for a second, "you can come. I think it'd be better than staying here alone."

"Really?" he asked. I watched the smile appear on her face. I nodded my head. "Awesome because I wanted that," he nodded, "and I know she did too. Thanks. Hey, are we getting ready to leave?" 

"Yeah," I nodded, "just about to grab these two bags out here and then we can basically go. Come down soon." I walked out of his room and headed downstairs where the others still sat around. "Alright lets go." 

We shuffled out of the house. Lilly and Zero were out in the yard, she was showing him different spells. I called out for them and the ten of us crammed into the SUV. I pulled out the map that we looked over last night and managed to find the point on my phone. We started to drive and it wasn't long before we were stopping to use the bathroom. 

"Hey let me see that picture of her," Lilly held out her hand, "I'll ask around inside." I reached in my pocket, pulling a picture of me and my mom. She's aged now, as have I. The picture is of us when I was a child. I handed it to her and she ran inside. Narah and Camille went to the bathrooms. I decided to go ahead and put some gas in the car. I looked inside where a man was talking to Lilly, she was holding the picture, showing him. 

I tried to read their lips but I can't. They're going too fast. I don't want to get my hopes up but it looks promising. She nodded her head and with a smile walked out of the store. She skipped over to the car and I started to ask what he said. 

"Chill chill," she smiled, "okay, so basically he said that she showed up a few days ago. He said that she robbed the place but since she looked desperate he just took it out of his check." 

"Did he say which way she went?" I asked frantically while pulling out my wallet. I'm gonna repay him, I have to. 

"Uhh East," she turned and pointed, "said she took off that way running on foot. He claimed to see some bright colors from her hands but I talked him down from that." 

"Well atleast we know it's her," I nodded, "he saw her magic. I'll be right back, everyone back in the car." 

"Where are you-" 

I rushed back into the gas station and threw a $100 dollar bill in front of him, "thank you for covering for her." I ran back out before he could say anything and hopped back into the SUV. "Okay lets go."
