Ophelia was relaxing in the common room fiddling with the necklace Draco had given her, reminiscing about the events that had happened over winter break when Hermione burst through the door followed by Harry, Ron, and the twins.

"Ophelia," Hermione exclaimed rushing over and throwing her arms around her, almost knocking her off the couch.

Ophelia laughed and wrapped her arms around her friend, "Hermione!!! It's so good to see you!!!"

Hermione plopped down on the couch next to Ophelia, "Did you have a good break? Were you lonely? You didn't even write at all!"

"Oh no I wasn't too lonely I had-"

She stopped. She had almost just ruined everything by almost blurting out that she had had Draco for company.

Ron and Harry sat down on the couch across from the girls.

"You had what,"Harry asked.

"I-I had Lotus to keep me company."

Ron laughed, "A bloody bird for company. Brilliant."

"Hey," she scolded him playfully, "Watch what you say about my bird!"

The twins had snuck up behind her and planted a kiss on her cheeks. She swatted them away playfully.

"Hey El," Fred said laughing sitting on the floor by the fireplace.

"Miss us," George teased joining his twin on the floor.

She rolled her eyes, "Oh yes desperately."

They all laughed. Hermione pulled out a package.

"Oh I almost forgot," she said handing the package to Ophelia, "This is for you!"

Ophelia looked at her in surprise. Hermione wriggled excitedly.

"Well go on then open it," she said encouragingly.

She carefully opened it and pulled out a beautiful knitted red and gold scarf. She gasped.

"Do you like it?"

"Like it? Oh Hermione I love it!"

She threw her arms around her friend and then smiled at the lot of them. Winter break had been nice, but she had missed them all something awful. They had become like family to her.

Hermione wrapped the scarf around Ophelia's neck.

Fred and George whistled.

"Beautiful," Fred said.

"More like stunning," George replied.

Ophelia laughed and rolled her eyes.

"Are you excited about school starting again tomorrow," Hermione asked.

"Oh absolutely! It'll be nice to be able to do something productive again."

Ron groaned and Harry laughed.

"Not me," Ron said, "I wish winter break was longer."

"Don't you like it here Ron," Ophelia asked.

"Of course I do," he replied, "I like the school. And I like seeing you lot every day. But I wish there was less learning involved."

Harry laughed, "Well if there was less learning involved it wouldn't necessarily be a school now would it?"

"I'm fine with that," Ron replied.

The next day the four of them were headed to their first class of the day, chatting happily when Ophelia tripped over her untied shoelace and smashed directly into the back of the person in front of her.
