NamJoon supposed a part of him should have suspected this. They had not quite cleared the room up as cleanly as they had anticipated in their haste to try and find the boys. He should have questioned whether they had to even go into the boys room. It was really rather a betrayal of trust, and it hurt that he had resorted to such things. Yoongi said that because of this instance they were going to get two reactions, hostile, or submissive to what they thought that the group wanted to know. Or a mix of the two. Submissively hostile. Sometimes NamJoon felt unnerved at just how correct Yoongi was in predicting the three's actions. He knew it was mostly because Yoongi understood them the best, having been in their situation before when he was younger, but at the same time...NamJoon could not help but be curious if there was more to it than that. Yoongi's ability to detect danger hinted to something a bit different in his mind.
He wondered...if perhaps prior to the previous thought that their powers did not work on the others at all, if it was a bit different. Perhaps their magic did work, but with different ways and in a more subtle undertone that they did not realize. He wondered if part of Yoongi's ability to detect the three's actions so accurately was so that they had time to prepare for how they would act, to avoid a potential outburst and dangerous situation. It was definitely not how Yoongi's magic typically worked, but then again NamJoon's own magic did not typically fail so spectacularly either. It was possible that their abilities were still forming, but in ways that they would not typically, and so because of that they did not realize that they were working at all. It would also make sense as to how they listened to Hobi, even though the other was not actively trying to use his powers. Perhaps their magic influenced the three a bit more than what they would have thought...It was possible that Hobi's magic may not have forced them to feel upset or agitated or obedient, but had a slight compelling act to get them to want to. Again, not how Hobi's magic typically worked but...
He was thinking about that. It was making a bit more sense. He would have to talk to YeonJun and Jisung about it. They would know more than he would, and he wondered if it was really possible. He kind of hoped that it was, because he did want to be able to have an explanation, and it would help them understand more how to proceed with the boys. They would undoubtedly talk to Yugyeom and Felix, considering NamJoon was not really sure he wanted to bother those two at the current moment, and it was not his plan to do this anyways, so he figured it would best to talk to Jisung or YeonJun first. Whichever would answer his calls first once he had the time to actually speak with them, it would take a bit, though, to explain his newfound theory. Hopefully the trainers would figure out a way to try and test it through.
"You guys snuck out...again." Yoongi began, his hooded eyes looking towards the three, who cut dark glared towards them. Jimin rolled his eyes, placing his hands on his hips and tilting his head to the side. "Not only were you gone for quite some time, but you managed to show up out of nowhere too, quite the feat, really, I am curious...how exactly did you manage it?" Yoongi's voice was thinly veiled with a slightly warning tone, but it was obvious that these three boys were not going to be shown up, particularly Jimin.
"And?" The eldest hissed, his eyes flaring darkly. "What of it? I am fairly sure that it doesn't really matter whether we come or go, because in the end at least we are returning back to this stupid building right? At least we came back, can't you be happy about that?"
"Hyung!" Jungkook yelped, slightly alarmed at the genuine anger in the boy's voice. NamJoon could not really fault the boy, he was surprised by the hostility that was able to just be bundled up in someone so young and small. Not that any of them were really small, or young as a matter of fact. All three of them were about to age out of the system so...they were not necessarily children anymore. Just...not quite adults either. "I thought we agreed to be nice." Jungkook muttered under his breath, just barely loud enough for NamJoon, the closest, to hear them.
Jimin seemed to calm himself down at Jungkook's words, and NamJoon watched their interactions with a level of curiousness. He had known that Jimin was definitely the leader, but it would seem that despite that, the relationship between the three was ever more complex than just that. It was fascinating to watch. Beautiful, as well, and NamJoon would continue, but they really needed to get to the bottom of this.
"Look, you do not have to tell us where you were, I doubt we would be able to find you either way. However, if you aren't going to use the phones we gave you, could you at least let us know by leaving some sort of note or something? That way we aren't freaking out and wondering what the hell happened to you?"
Jin started at Hobi's words, and they all watched nervously as the three seemed to contemplate it over. Taehyung and Jungkook both drug Jimin back further so their muttering was not so easily heard, and they began to talk amongst themselves furiously. They wisely hid their mouths from them as well, so they would not manage to read their lips. NamJoon's own twitched into a half smile at the realization. They were much smarter than they liked to play around as.
"That...sounds reasonable." Taehyung stated simply.
"Thank you." Jungkook added. "It is just...the phones make us a bit uncomfortable, knowing what we do about you guys." That was understandable, actually. Particularly if they did not want their location traced.
"Your training begins soon," NamJoon cut in. "Be prepared. I don't want any incidents. Be nice to Jisung, Felix, YeonJun, and Yugyeom, and listen to what they have to say. They are just trying to help you, which means I want you to be on your best behavior. They don't have to do this, they want to help, though, and offer to do their best."
