Jimin, Taheyung, and Jungkook, all were nervously biting their lower lip, bodies hunched over as they quietly spoke to each other. they already knew they would not make the orphanage curfew. It was a cause of tormenting anxiety for all three of them. They knew the consequences for not getting back by curfew, and honestly, it was probably better to simply not return for the night. This was what they were currently debating.
"But Hyung," Jungkook spoke up, interrupting the heated debate Taehyung and Jimin were having. "Either way it would be dangerous. And they may not even let us back in because we are behind curfew. They may make us stay out anyways, so why alert them to the fact that we were not there. At least if we do not come back we can claim we where somewhere other than our rooms for final lights out, and the punishment will be less severe." Jimin and Taehyung glanced at each other, a bit nervous, but unable to argue with the logic of the youngest.
"True, Jungkook-ah, but think about it this way too, where are we going to go that is safe for us through the night?" Taehyung asked.
"Abadoned warehouse town anyone? Nobody ever goes there." Jungkook said with a small smile.
"If by nobody you mean the criminal activity that it is rife with. Gangs meet there, fights always break out, do you really think it is a good place to be?" Jimin asked them.
But, they did not really have that much of a space of time to think it over, before police sirens were heard.
"Well, Jiminie, looks like that is were we are going, whether we like it or not." Taehyung said solemnly. Jungkook nodded sighing heavily.
"Sorry Jiminie, but you and I both know we cannot risk being seen by police. They will know we are underage with a simple glance. And at a second glance notice that we are supposed to be in the orphanage, and we are not. No matter what, we cannot be caught. Ever. So, please, can we get going?" Jungkook asked.
Jimin sighed heavily. Sometimes, being the eldest of the three, even if it were only by a few months, was a hassle. He was technically the leader of the three, and it was a huge burden to bear.
The three of them had met up ages ago, and bonded over their strange powers. What made them different. All three of them were extremely excited to meet others with powers, as they had never seen other people possess such strange powers. They would spend the nights together, talking, bonding, getting to know each other. Jimin, as the eldest, had been elected the leader of their small band. And after a while, they began to experiment with their powers. Only after they had gained total confidence and trust, it took a while to build. Jungkook, particularly, was extremely hard to trust, and seemed to trust taehyung the most still, out of the three of them. He had warmed up to Jimin after a few weeks of Taehyung talking with Jungkook, but Jimin was still a bit jealous of the ease with which Jungkook had trusted Taehyung over him. Not that it was something he should be jealous over. He could not help but be though. Now, it was easier for him to understand.
Anyways, when they had started practicing, they had learned that all three of them held the key to fire magic. Jungkook could create it, Tae could manipulate and throw it, and Jimin could aim it. It was an interesting sight. One that they kept to themselves as much as possible. they all knew fire magic was incredibly dangerous, but this type of magic, even more so than normal magic because it was difficult to control, hence why different forms of fire magic were spread to different people. Not exactly a way to create more control over fire magic if you asked Jimin, but he was not one to question fates.
Now though, Now they all were incredibly close. they had all gone through some shit, and dealt with crap together. Their bond was unbreakable. Yet it was times like these, that Jimin felt he failed as a leader.Jungkook was the one who had come up with their solution after all.
He knew that he was simply being harsh on himself, and by the way Taehyung and Jungkook glanced at him while they ran through the abandoned parts of town, they knew it too.
"Hyung, it is okay. You are a great leader, do not put yourself down." Jungkook said, with a small smile, he hated it when Jimin threw himself under the bus, even if he could understand it."I know, Jungkookie-ah, I know. I just cannot help it sometimes you know." Jungkook knew, and it broke his heart sometimes. Which was why he did his best to encourage Jimin. he and Taehyung both did. But, they were also well aware that Jimin was not meant to be a leader either. All three of them were not good as leaders, they were more followers. Nothing they could do about that. They could not trust anyone else, because, well, their powers.
Jimin and Taehyung drug Jungkook into one of the abandonded houses as the police sirens grew louder. It was creepy. Cold, wet, and dark, not to mention random drips of water leaking from pipes or cracked holes in the celieng. It looked like a place someone would go to say their final farewell, or a perfect place to conduct shady busnuiess, though the three supposed since they were technically hiding and running from the cops to avoid getting picked up and put back in the orphanage, it technically counted as shady.
That was when Taehyung heard them. Voices. Faint. Soft, but echoing. There were others here.
"Hyung," Taehyung pulled at Jimin's shirt. "There are other people here!" Jimin turned wide-eyed at Taehyung. Taking a deep breath, closing his eyes, he knelt to the floor, His fingertips began to glow with a grey/silver light, before placing them on the floor. He drew in shaky breaths.
Jimin was thrust through what felt like a vacuum, thrown out on the other end. He saw men, lots of men, talking. Conversing.
"And you think you can get away with that?" One of the guys asked, scoffing. Jimin turned, and saw that the four men were surrounded. they were korean, versus the others, who seemed to be some chinese, or japanese or something to that affect, Jimin could not be entirely certain. "We will rule Seoul, and soon, you will be nothing but a faint memory." The man spat on the floor. "So much for a great legacy. You are pathetic, all of you. What made you think you could actually rule Seoul, so many others desire the same you know? You are nothing but youngers seeking a thrill. Four of you? Rule? All of Seoul? Bah, nice try." Heat rose in JImin, as fury rarely seen in him cascaded through his body.
Jerking himself back into his conciousness, Jungkook and Taehyung were looking at him, awaiting his news.
"Some foreigners are trying to take over Seoul, threatening a group of Koreans." Jimin whispered, furious. At his words, both Taehyung and Jungkook grew angry as well.
"Foreigners? Take over Seoul? Oh now,"
"Hyung, Hyungie, we need to help them." Jungkook said. "I do not care who the koreans are, but we cannot allow foreigners to take over the crime aspect of Seoul, that would be a disaster."
"Inclined to agree." Jimin said softly. "Are we sure about this?" He asked, glancing at the other two. They had never used their fire magic in front or around others before. Now?
"Better now then never." The youngest shrugged, and with that making their decision final.
