"I want us to take them to a restaurant." Jin said suddenly a few weeks later. So far, from what they had managed to gather, the three were doing quite well in terms of their training. They had been steadily getting better at their control, or that is what Yeonjun had told them at least. NamJoon felt that there was something that they were not being told, but according to Yoongi it did not seem to be something overly severe, and from what they could tell it was doing the three good to actually be around people that were willing to train them, so they did not press the issue. Hobi could tell that they were getting to be more and more relaxed too, something which he had just been excitedly telling Yoongi, Jin, and NamJoon.
"You want to take them out?" Yoongi asked, tilting his head slightly in question. "After they are just getting used to us?" He paused, contemplating. NamJoon, Jin, and Hobi stared at him tensely. Yoongi was their elected expert on the boys. If he thought they should not do something, they did not, if he thought something was a good idea, they did it. From what they could gather when they did not go with Yoongi's suggestions, things happened that merely put them back severely, so they had all decided to run everything by Yoongi from now on. It seemed to be going quite well, but Jin was stubborn when he put his mind to things, so NamJoon and Hobi both were preparing for the worst case scenario, where Jin demanded that they go anyways. They all knew that if Jin truly wanted to, he would not take no for an answer.
"Yes, I do. I think it would be good for them, and it would certainly be good for us. I want them to be seen with us, as well, because if they are so hidden they could run into things that we all know would cause them more harm than good." Jin stated once again. he had been saying things like that from the beginning, and to his credit, he was not wrong. NamJoon knew that they had enemies, and that the more that the three were seen around them, the less likely it was for them to be messed with. Particularly when they finally actually started attending school again.
That was something that they had figured quite early. They had been supposed to start school again but they had neglected in going to school about three to four of the four to five school days. If there was four days, they only went once, and if five, again only once. They had no idea why, but they had not bothered to tell them that they knew about it, instead leaving them to their devices. Yoongi had stated that this was quite common for multiple reasons, and one was being that they needed to get a feel for the school without being in danger of gangs and other bullies and rivalries that already existed in school. Yoongi had stated that they would probably begin going more regularly in a few more weeks. So far, Yoongi had been right about everything else so they had not argued with him.
"I don't see any reason why we should not, but I do think that it should be something lowerkey at first, at least, and we should bring an excuse to do it so that we are more likely to have them willing to go with us." Yoongi said simply, with a shrug of his shoulders. Jin almost squealed, jumping up and down a few times before rushing to pull out his phone and search certain places. "Before that..." Yoongi said simply, pausing Jin in his perusal. "We should think of what they like to eat...Or at least find a place that offers a variety on the menu and then we have try and figure out what they like from that."
"Good idea, Hyung," NamJoon said softly. "That is actually quite brilliant, because they do not really argue when we give them food, but they also scarf it down so fast it is hard to tell if they like it or not."
"To do that, though, we should call in advance and tell the restaurant to void prices on a set of menus. We could pay for it, of course, but otherwise they'd be so focused on the price that they won't pick something they actually like, and would probably just go for something low in price." Hobi piped up. Jin's eyes lit up at yet another brilliant plan and nodded to the suggestion.
"Wonderful idea. I like it. We can pay for that of course, and excess for the trouble that they have printing a pair of seven priceless menus."
"Seven?" Namjoon questioned.
"Yes," Jin said distracted. "Seven, in case they try and glance over at ours or something. Then if we decide to go back they can keep those menus on hand and they will be the ones that we use." Yoongi gave Jin a smile. he was glad that the others were catching on with how they should handle things around the fosters. It was really quite nice to see. He just wished that they had come sooner for him, but even still, he was grateful to extend to these magicks the curtesies that he did not get when he was in the system.
"That should be easy enough," NamJoon agreed. "We just have to figure a place and a time, and an excuse." He said with a shrug.
"What about their progress?" Hobi questioned. Yoongi shook head head at the suggestion.
"No. It has to be something else. Their progress, while great, could be something they don't see. It needs to be a more selfish reason to celebrate, otherwise they are not going to feel like they should and all they will think about is how they aren't deserving."
"But if we pick something that we want to celebrate wouldn't that just make the feeling worse?" Hobi countered. Yoongi shook his head.
"Not at this point, at least. They are comfortable with us enough that they may be confused, but they would not question us if we wanted to celebrate something for ourselves, but they also are more likely to go with something like, say our 2 months anniversary of getting them from the system, then they would be something like progress during practice." Yoongi explained dutifully.
"Then we will go with that." Jin said simply, ignoring the bewildered look Yoongi gave him.
"Go with what?"
"2 Months anniversary since they came into our care. I personally think that is quite the achievement and I think it is selfish enough and factual enough they won't question it."
"I mean, that works, of course, but..."
"Enough, Yoongi," Jin warned, eyes flashing. Yoongi sighed but fell silent. "Now we just have to pick a day. Hobi, call this place and talk to them about the priceless menus." He said throwing the phone to Hobi, who caught it and dialed the number already keyed in without a word.
"We just have to inform the boys of what we are planning now." NamJoon said, and they all turned towards Yoongi to stare at him, Hobi moving to stand a little bit aways as the phone got picked up on the other end.
"I...Why..." Yoongi shook his head, it would be stupid to continue to ask that question. He already knew why. The boys were most comfortable with Jin but they respected him the most. "Fine," He huffed, knowing that it was actually a good plan. They would be less willing to question him than anything else. "I will tell them. When are we going to do it?"
"Let's do next week." Namjoon said. "Saturday. That way whenever they decide to go to school they can, and it doesn't cut into their practice time either. Plus it will give the restaurant time to get the menus ready."
