It took little for the social worker to realize these potential parents were not happy at the way she spoke of the three troublemakers. She was just informing them, and in a fit out anger, and slight fear, she thrust the file at Jin, before turning on her heel and walking out of the room.
Suga took deep breaths to compose himself, and Jim gave the file to Hobi, who hid the papers in his coat. Sure, they had hacked the state files for the boys, but social worker files were rarely actually placed in internet compartments, and always done on paper, so it was useful to have.
The door opened, and the three familiar faces waited through. Stopping, dead silence filed the room. The youths were staring at them in shock, and a bit of suspicion.
"What are you doing here?" Jimin asked, time filled with ice. Jungkook was pushed behind him and Taehyung, who had stepped up with Jimin. Jungkook peered around at them, between his Hyungs shoulders.
"Look, you left, and we realized that even if you wanted, even if we wanted you to, you can't stay with us, because you are still wards of Korea. So this was the next best option. Besides, now we can help you further with your studies." The way Namjoon said studies as different than the rest of the sentence, and if the v widening of the three young ones' eyes were anything to go by, they understood perfectly what Namjoon meant by studies.
"We do legitimately want to help you." Yoongi addressed. He knew that these three wouldn't be convinced by mere simple words, which were easily broken. "Look, I found out about my powers alone, and it was terrifying. The streets are dangerous for those alone, and with powers. Needless to say, it isn't any different for those within the System. If anything it is worse. Sure, would we like to see you join our group later on? Of course, but I would never allow you to be forced into choosing to be appreciate part of that. If you decide to it will be of your own free will. Forcing someone into a gang is very bad, for everyone involved. Right now, all we want is to help you control yourselves. It is dangerous for you to be without immense control, and while I am sure you have good control, it is clear you can still be emotionally compromised. We do really wish to just help you guys. So please just let us do that."
They were still hesitant. After all, promises were nothing but lies waiting hidden underneath all the sweet words. Jimin inhaled deeply. As much as he would like to blow the guys off and run away with Jungkook and Taehyung, he knew that they would be able to do that in the event that things get too sketchy. As for now, they were right. An orphanage was not a good place for people with powers, and the fact that they had managed this long surprised him. Quite a bit. He was worried what might happen if they were found out, and personally Jimin would rather not know. In any case, these guys had sort of already adopted them. It was too late to back out now.
"Fine," he said, stepping up and staring straight into Namjoon's eyes. "But at the first hint of something showing you are a threat to us, and the well being of my Donseangs we are gone. And you will not find us again." Hobi was surprised that Jimin was capable of such stern authority.
"That sounds reasonable," he said, cutting the other three off before they could say or do something stupid. He pushed forwards, shoving his way in front of Jimin. He looked at the unyielding figure. A Hyung trying to protect those under his charge. He recognized it for what it was. And for their sake, Hobi knew that he would not be tempted to agree to anything opposite of what he had already stated. His terms must be agreed to in their entirety, or it was utterly useless to even try to get him to come with them.
"Perfectly reasonable," he said, extending his hand. Jimin narrowed his eyes, but clasped the hand before him...
And shook.
