Slowly, Jimin, Taehyung, and Jungkook made their way through the back parts of the warehouse, to the area that Jimin had seen the confrontation going on. With footsteps light, barely there, the quickly they behind the mountain of various boxes, empty, dusty, and clearly not been in use for a while. Jimin held himself close to the floor, fingertips touching the rough concrete, breathing out slowly. They had practiced this, but never had they done this in an attempt at defense of other people, or with other people present. Even if those people did not know that they were there. It was sort of nerve wracking, their hearts racing.
Carefully, they got into formation. Jungkook behind Taehyung and Jimin, Taehyung to his left, Jimin to his right. All of them crouched near the floor, not touching their knees to the cold earth of the place, but low enough not to be seen. Jimin closed his eyes, giving his way through to see what was going on.
The three that they were trying to help were easily avoided, sort of, because they were all in the center. They rest would be difficult. Their flame would have to be fast and quickly reach every area, as the bad guys were spread out through practically every corner. They would be lucky if they were not seen first and taken care of.
Jimin ripped his eyes open and faced the others.
"Tae, the ones we are avoiding are in the center. We have to be careful, the other men are practically in every other corner of this place. It was well thought out trap if nothing else." Jimin looked at Jungkook. " The flame has to be hot, and bright. " Jungkook but his lower lip. He knew why Jimin was telling him this. The other wanted him to let go. It frightened him. "I will make sure the fire goes where it needs to, Taehyung, you make sure it spreads wide but keep it from the center, Jungkook, make it bright and hot. We have one chance, and to be honest we will be lucky if they do not figure out where we are before we incapacitate all of them." Jimin looked into the nervous, anxious eyes of Jungkook, the stubborn but fearful eyes of Taehyung, and assessed the feelings of determination and fear within himself. They had one shot. "Are you guys sure you wanna continue this? It is not too late to leave before they notice us. " a growl from the trapped men steeped the other two's resolve.
"We are sure Hyung." Jungkook said softly. "Besides, we cannot let Seoul fall to foreigners." Jimin admired their youngest steel resolve. He shaking exhaled.
" then let's do this. "
Jungkook keeled with his knees in the floor, cold seeping through his thin jeans. He exhaled, breath trembling, eyes closed, head bowed. Taehyung's fingers twitched, readying themselves, Jimin and Taehyung waited. Jungkook looked calm.
then his head flew, eyes opening, a crimson red, and fiery orange burning through them. He lifted his hands gently, the flame lighting through tjem, crackling on his finger tips, hot, intense. Taehyung gently took the flame from Jungkook and closed his eyes, a light of yellow flashing under his eyelids as he shaped it, let it grow, nurtured it into a fully pledge flame, slowly taking form, into the Phoenix. Eyes flashing open, still yellow, he threw the flame-bird out, and Jimin instantly latched onto control of the fire. Eyes flowing a mix of burnt Amber and silver as he instantly used two powers at once, using his power to lurch him into the air around him, and directing the flame neatly towards all those around the place. Taehyung continued to nurture the flame until it grew large, the full shape of the bloody Phoenix flames taking shale. Wings flaring, as they flapped, readily missing the Koreans of the group. Jungkook came in making the flame burn bright, burn hot, and wild. Unleashing his emotions, the two besides him soon joining him, as they linked hands, the flame finally taking full shape as they did so, and flying through their enemies instantly killing them.
A few tense moments soon jungkook forced the flames to die down, to fade, gone. As though it has never been there, but for the four stunned koreans, and charred bodies of the enemies.
Jimin, Jungkook, and Taehyung were jerked back to reality at the cursing of those before then still alivd.
"We need to get out of here." Jungkook said softly. They were all weak , and tired, but none could despite the wise words of the youngest of the three.
"LET'S GO!!!" Jimin shouted the moment the voices came to close for his liking. The three jumped up and ran. Ignoring the shouts of those behind them, running for their lives. Not caring where they would go.
They had each other. It was enough. It always had been.
