Jungkook woke up first. He slowly blinked himself awake, eyes blurry yet slowly adjusting. He turned his head to see the numbers on the alarm slowly counting down. His eyes widened and he stiffened, adrenaline filling his body. Just before the alarm, and snatched it up and turned it off just before it rang out waking Jimin and Taehyung, thank goodness. He did not want to wake them as they had a very long past few days, and Jungkook knew that they needed their rest, and probably more rest then they were going to be able to get, but Jungkook could at the very least leave them to sleep a little longer, especially since neither of them would be able to really do what he was about to be doing in the first place. It only made sense to allow them to sleep a little longer then himself.
He got all of the information, checked through it, retraced his steps, deleted all sense of someone having been through whatever little information that they had managed to extract from every place that they had managed it from. It was a little more manual to erase data from a site then it was to take it from the same. Jungkook found little problem with it and he rather enjoyed the process which allowed him to really clear his head and sort through everything. Although here was not much information, there was enough information that he knew could be helpful, if for nothing more then mere insurance just in case. Jungkook never liked to be thrust into unknown circumstances. They were quite nicely settled straight into what could easily become incredibly unfavorable circumstances for them.
Which now that he thought about it was unlikely to be helped much with the fact that they were gone for an entire night right after they had been given rules to follow. Jungkook did not particularly care for rules, and he often broke them anyways. Jimin and Taehyung were the exact same as himself, especially if the rules did not suit what the wanted or needed, or desired to do. Which was most times, which meant that they broke rules quite often. There was nothing that they could really do about that unless they wanted to be confined by a myriad amount of rules, which was not in their favor in any way whatsoever, so of course they ignored whatever they did not feel suited them in the moment.
They were very rarely caught breaking rules directly, though Jungkook knew that they would be this time. There was no way that the group had not checked on them after curfew held. It was incredibly unlikely, especially since there was many things that the others clearly had wanted to talk about, and it was just unlikely that they would not at least check to see if they were sleeping, at the very least. So...no it was obvious that they had broken out and fled after curfew.
It brought a light smile to Jungkook's face with the realization that they were likely scrambling trying desperately to find them and yet would be unable to do so, and freaking out because of that exact thing. Though he could not deny that it was useful, it meant that they would be so preoccupied trying to find their three new charges that it was less likely that they would have managed to notice that someone was hacking into their personal information, as little information as that was. It did not bother him, much. Even a little information was better then none at all, and having just a little information was more useful then having no information.
It was a pitiful amount, which he had managed to extract, though it did not worry him too much. He was a decent hacker, self taught and everything, but he was definitely not the best, and he knew that. He would not deluded himself into believing that he was the best hacker on the planet at this moment in time. that would only lead to mistakes, and such mistakes could not be made. Besides, he was content in the knowledge that he had managed to obtain more information than others would likely have managed to get. If he had longer he would probably manage to obtain more, but it was also incredibly risky and Jungkook did not like to take more risks then absolutely necessary when it came to hacking. The least risks that he took the less likely it was that he would be caught, he had learned that quite quickly, and these were not people to mess around with.
Jimin was the second to wake, and Jungkook turned to smile at him, before returning his attention to the computer screen, determined and fingers flying over the keyboards. It was soothing, hearing the clacking of the keys as Jungkook swiftly pressed down on them with rapid speed.
"Taehyung was a lot more tired then we thought." Jimin commented. Jungkook nodded to Jimin's words.
"Not surprising. We usually do not go that far, and he had to hold his powers for quite a long time. It would have been taxing, even more so since he was shielding all three of us, not just himself. It was a longer distance then usual, and he was holding the illusion for three instead of one. I would be more concerned if he was not taxed out and tired beyond belief." Jungkook stated, and Jimin had to recognize the truth which Jungkook spoke.
Taehyung had amazing control. Really all of them did, especially since they had not really trained properly, and they had learned everything by themselves, together, and through trial and error. Large risks were taken, despite their hatred of being risky, in an attempt to control their magic. Their powers, as annoying as they could be at times, were decently controlled, if not perfect, they doubted that they would ever have perfect control. Taehyung had been strained, and emotionally drained as well, considering. It was a shock that none of them lost control after having been forced into an adoption that they did not want in the first place with the very people they had been trying to get away from.
They may be nice now, but who really knew? That was primarily the reason that Jungkook and Jimin had decided to test them so early. When pushing boundaries, the one thing that was likely to piss someone off was the breaking of a rule so soon after having been given it.
"He did extremely well," Jimin said softly. Jungkook's smile turned soft and his eyes turned fond. Jimin knew that Jungkook and Taehyung had a certain...special connection, though it did not bother him, as he had a similar one with Taehyung . Their baby Jungkook was special, and everyone knew that when it came down to it, both boys would die for Taehyung, and Taehyung would destroy the world for them.
"Of course he did," Jungkook said as though he had little doubt. "I did make sure that we were not caught on any of the cameras, just in case, considering how exhausted he was, and not once did we flicker to life." Jimin smiled happily.
"What about the information?" Jimin asked gently.
"Not much. I didn't manage to get much and trying to get more would be more risky then I was willing to be, but I got enough at least."
"Good, we have to be careful. Any information at this point is good."
"We need to wake up Taehyung," Jimin groaned at the suggestion coming from Jungkook.
"Do we really have to? He was so tired." Jungkook bit his lip, chewing it as his eyes gazed over Taehyung's peaceful, sleeping form.
"I really don't want to, but Jimin you and I both know we have to get back to the mansion." Jungkook sighed heavily at the words which he had spoken, but both of them kne wthat it was the truth.
"I know, maybe for a few more minutes? We should clean the place up anyways." Jungkook smiled, eyes bright.
"Of course, you are right."
They both knew that they were procrastinating the inevitable. Still, neither of them stopped the other from trying to do so.
