To Stay or To Go

It took a lot longer than they had originally had hoped for it to take in getting the information that they wanted on their so called guardians. They knew that it would take a lot longer, though, even if they had decided to hope that it would be much easier than it actually was, and had prepared for it. After all, these were not just run of the mill civilians, and citizens of the country of South Korea, these were gang members, frightening gang members who despite their small group had managed to keep Seoul under strict supervision for years. Given that their curfew was dusk, they knew that if they wanted to make it back on any semblance of before their curfew expired they would need to leave soon. Though, when it really came down to it, Jimin and Jungkook were really questioning how much it would anger their new guardians should they break the rule.

They knew that it was a horrible idea, naturally, of course that did not really stop them from contemplating whether or not they should do it. Did they not ever constantly remind themselves that breaking rules so soon into a placement was a bad idea, a very bad idea at that? Of course, but this was also somewhat different. In this case, they were not just breaking rules, they had other reasons to do so rather than just the thrill of seeing how the group would react to it, though they could not deny that it was part of the decision. They just needed as much information as they could get on these guys, and it would take a while to do so, granted though it may not take as long if they actually hurried the process up just a bit, and there was the fact that they could always come back, they did not have to glean all the information just today...but it was just... they needed to know how these people went about punishing rule breaking. It would be a good thing to think about. Not only that it intrigued them. Jungkook and Jimin were fairly certain that they would not know for sure how they managed to get out of the Mansion and past all of the yards, probably assume that they had another power, at least one of them, but they did not know that for sure. They wanted to know just how important this rule was. Not to mention both Jimin and Jungkook tended to be more bratty when it came to rules, though they did not often directly defy them like this, they felt this thrill at the thought.

It was not just that, of course. They would not just put themselves in danger just because of the fact that Jimin and Jungkook wanted to test the older people, that was reckless, and if there was anything Jimin and Jungkook and Taehyung had always be cautious most of the time, if a bit impulsive. Besides the desire to find the information of the reactions of the other group, and wanting to complete their scan of information from the internet today rather than leaving it another day or two, Taehyung needed the rest. He had used and sustained his power all the way from the mansion to here. He needed to recover from such a drastic and prolonged use of magic. That sort of magic is draining. Very much so, and both Jungkook and Jimin knew it. They had both been required to use their magic for similar lengths of time. While they knew their limits well, they did not have complete control over their powers, and it was something that they all knew. They did their best, that was really all that they could do in the light of this situation, and it was all that they had ever been able to do.

If anything, they could easily blame it on the fact that they were exhausted and had not managed to sleep well the last few weeks. Not like that would be a lie. Though they knew that they would be getting into some very risky territory. Though, all three of them were rather decent liars. It was not necessarily a lie either. They did not really know what the other groups magic powers were, which meant that one of them may be able to detect lies, and Jimin would bet if it was any of the four it would probably be that SeokJin. He just got that feel from the eldest.

Either way, it was true. They had been exhausted. So much had happened in such a short amount of time and it was mind blowing and took a lot of adjusting, even for them. Not to mention that they were in the presence and essentially under the rule of four of the most dangerous people in Seoul. Or Korea, just in general. It was dangerous. They were lucky, but who knew what could happen. They had been sleepless for quite some time as well. They had to be more careful with the Matron getting complaints about them wandering about unseen around the Orphanage, and they needed to ensure that they did not draw too much attention. Ad it was they were lucky more often then actually careful.

"Jimin Hyung," Jungkook spoke quietly, leaning back against the chair that he was currently sitting at, drawing his eyes off of the plethora of screens and keyboards, to look at him.

"Yes, Jungkook-ah what is it?"

"Is Taehyung okay?" Jungkook inquired. "It was more magical drain then he is used to."

"I know," Jimin said softly, feeling a little guilty. He should have pushed harder for them to forego coming here. Yet, he had not, and they could not change the past, only fix the mistakes of the future. "We will need to figure out a better strategy. Taehyung can't keep up doing this, even if he would say that he can." Jungkook nodded, watching as the sun sunk down...worry tinting his features. "Don't worry," Jimin said, carefully addressing the slightly anxiety which showed itself on the youngest's face. "I won't let any of them hurt you. Famous mob bosses or whatever I do not care. You are safe with us. We won't let anyone hurt you again as long as we can help it." Jungkook smiled a little at the sincerity.

"I know Hyung, I will do my best to protect you to. Who knows what sort of things they will do." Jungkook said softly. "Come on, we should get some rest. Everything is being downloaded onto the USB ports and we will be able to check them tomorrow. I have an alarm set for 4am, we will wake up and continue the second half of the process from here." Jimin nodded faintly, sleepily beckoning Jungkook towards him.

They were all exhausted. They had not slept much the last few days, and with the worry and anxiety which had flown through them for a majority of those days they were just worn down. Sleep would be needed. They were safe...here.
