The rain outside is pouring
While I'm inside, my heart doing the same
The rain goes pitter-patter
My heart has a matter to discuss
Let the gutters overflow
And feel my happiness gush
The drips hit the pavement with a slap, leaving it raw and bare
Today the masks came off-legally this time
Left out creaks and groans raise their voices
We could see each other's faces!
Illumination of the fire speaks with a kick
Maybe we should give out free razors?
A car joins the chorus, singing a tune with a whoosh
Jokes aside, it's really really nice
Slower drops now touch down on the roof
New faces, forgotten ones, changed ones, fresh flesh, people can see you blush
The quiet now is loud
I think I missed the smiles the most
The rain is subsiding it's story as it falls still like glitter, every lingering
My turn is over thank you for listening
