Digging

The other day I heard a song,
The song that you made.
But I couldn't sing along,
As I cried through the pain.

Everyday it's like another arrow has pierced my tender skin.
Spinning, twisting, crawling, invading, crushing.
Digging it's way in.

I know things aren't where either of us would like them to be,
But I hope you realize it's hard because you mean so much to me.

Every moment I picture your beautiful face,
I wish and dream and wish some more, that we could-just for a minute- be in one place.

I want to look into your eyes, confidant of the absence of lies.
I want to be in your arms, confident that us being together won't set off any alarms.

Every second we're apart,
I realize how much I really care about you.
To continue to wait, despite the pain, of the arrow thrusting it's way through;

My heart.
