So close, so near, so connected, yet strangers.
A nod of the head, obligatory half of a smile, still strangers.
Flight ends, unknowing companions part, strangers through all time.
It's amazing, it's strange, it's inhuman, staying strangers.
It's normal, it's life, it's sad, always strangers.
Walks of life, different yet we meet, never to see again.
What if one day we see, across a shopping isle, would we recognize?
Do we remember the strangers? With so much impact, so little importance.
Arms brush, looks exchanged, a new person comes through life's door.
Looking away, minding one's own business, strangers once and forever more.
