Everyone says shoot for the starts.
Everyone says you can achieve your dream, no matter how hard.
But when you say, you have found your star; All they do is laugh and flash you a red card.
You say you're serious, They say "you are indeed, seriusly riddikulus."
You promise to prove to them, that you can be, whoever you want to be. They just laugh some more and say. "Prove it to us."
Just shut them out, give yourself space. You can do anything you wish. Every famous person once had doubters also, who just said "pish"
And look where they are now. They are on top of the world.
You can make a difference if you choose to.
Choices are what make us all unique. They chose to not support you so you can choose to ignore them and support yourself.
Dreams are not always fantasy. You can make them real. You are not a mermaid or an elf-you are you.
You can be like a book that just sits and collects dust, alone on the shelf. Or you can open yourself up.
All it takes is your will, it has nothing to do with luck
And you can go back to those who said you can't do it, just wait and see.
Someday you can go back and prove that anyone can be whoever the hell they want to be.
So go and shoot for that star.
A/N- sorry the formatting is kinda weird, I'm on my computer and it won't let me do what I want to do so I'll have to fix it when I'm on my phone later. Also- fun fact- a good proportion of my poems I originally created as songs but since I don't want to write out the actual notes for most of them (the tune is my head) I turned them into poems.
