Thoughts are swimming in my head,
Memories of all the words I've ever read.
I feel as though my mind is skipping stones,
Each idea leaves an impact that spreads as speaking tones.
While the surface is so calm,
I worry everything will soon go wrong.
The swirling water broken by the light of the moon,
Night continues ever on, despite everyone who calls me "loon"
They think I'm lost in the darkness and chaos of my mind,
Yet I'm in a garden with the wafting scent of a lemon rind.
Thoughts swim together in my head,
unlike me- each of them is making friends.
With each light splash, each ever expanding ripple, the flowers of my garden triple.
Despite the color all around,
Confusion is the only sound.
I can not stop them wading through my head,
I now feel the overwhelming sense of dread.
